Aramis Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Ok so after coming out of my dark ages I found the wonderous program that is the Lego Digital Designer, I found that it will do a lot of stuff that I want when creating my own MOC's, I ran it happilly under XP then bought a brand new laptop with...Vista... Now when I first tried to get it to run I found on the lego site that Vista isn't supported, but recently that changed to "Vista is Supported!" But when I install it and try to get it to run I still have the same issues the general "Lego DD cannot run, contact support" I have E-Mailed them to no avail. Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? Quote
Errorist Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Could it be that the problem doesn't lay with vista but with something else? For instance do you have the newest version of quicktime player installed? I'm asking this because my dad has a vista laptop as well and LDD works fine on that one. Btw the email support for LDD takes ages to reply ;-) hope this helpes a bit Quote
fugglewyg Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I have vista home premium and am running LDD just fine on it. I did get a warning during installation that it was incompatable/wouldn't work (can't remember exact phrase). I just closed the warning box and let the install continue and all worked ok in the end. Some guy Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 My ldd doesn't work that great either. I can start it,but then it runs so slow that i can't even press any icon :-| Quote
DarkYamiDragon Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Is your graphics card up to date? I don't have Vista, but I know that a lot of new programs for vista have some bugs. Hope this helps. Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 It should work with Vista. I have V Premium and it works. Make sure you have all available Microsoft Vista updates installed - download them free at microsoft.com Also you could try reinstalling LDD after. Quote
Aramis Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 Thanks for all the responses, still not sure what the heck is going on, my PC seems to be up to date as possible, uninstalled and reinstalled and still no dice... Does anyone know if there are specific versions of quictime or anything that need to be installed? Quote
