It stands for My Own Creation, it's what you build yourself from imagination without following any instructions, be they LEGO or otherwise.

People tend to specialise in area's that interest them, Castles, Town layouts, Ships, Trains, Spacecraft etc.

There are plenty of excellant MOC's out there for inspiration, techniques and ideas of what to build...

You might want to cruise on over to BrickWiki which has articles on SNOT and a whole lot more. *sweet*

SNOT keeps bothering me, because I can't mentally disconnect it from the translation of the word snot in Dutch: the green stuff coming out of your nose when you pick it..... :-X

That's the stuff! If you haven't noticed, several LEGO acronyms are the by-products of bodily functions.

(BURP, CRAPP, SNOT). The best part is that the "C" in CRAPP actually stands for "Crappy" :-D . Silly AFOLs and their toilet humour.

What strange hobby do we share.... :-D

As to the CRAPP abreviation, Mister Phes has put it like this:

C

CRAPP: Crummy Ramp and Pit Plate

The baseplate with a ramp and pit

Monkeys on Cows... :-P
Monster Operated Catapult...
Moldy Old Corn! X-D
Monkeys Own Crib X-D

Really? I could've sworn it stood for My Own Creation... 8-|
