LuxorV Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Hi all, I have started making decals based on original LEGO torsos. Since till now none of these was requested, I start this topic to post them for all who may be interested :-$ . Castle Lady/2007 Princess Forest man/Jocko (I got it this is a somewhat rare torso, so I made a decal for all those who should want to include Hinckley's partner in vigs and so on ;-) ) K3-PO Sensei Keiken (my sigfig's torso *wub* ) Random Lady (I'm not really sure where this one comes from; I just saw it on BS, and tried to copy it 8-| ; If there's anyone that's not TLC to give credit to, please let me know it :-) ) Fell free to use them in your creations (giving due credit, please ;-) ) and to PM me if you want some of them in different colors (for example, a red Princes or a blue K3-PO). Shadows Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Helloooo Random Boobies Lady! *wub* I don't recall her being official, but she's very very nice *sweet* *y* I've had that same problem with reference pics not being quite right. Even moreso, I've started noticing that where multiple colours are used on a torso, TLG often prints them with less-than-brilliant allignment, leading to colours drifting outside of their intended boundary. Mr. Cunningham was a good example of that. Every example I found online had areas of white shirt outside the bordering line. Who would have guessed that in the process of doing these, we'd actually end up making slight improvements? *wacko* Keep up the great work! *y* Quote
Batbrick Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Fanglmotasticmacal decals as always LuxorV! I absolutely worship your stuff! :'-) You've done a brilliant job on all of these, the one thats gets my interest most is the Keiken torso, which means I'll finally be able to use in you in things! But, I choose not to take the easy root out, I'm going to buy the Hybrid Rescue Tank with that as my main reason *sweet* I love that collar on the forsetman too. To the Bricksignal! >:-) Quote
Lt. Veers Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Good job on those decals! *y* Sorry to burst your bubble, but the "random woman" is actually the Dumbledore torso from Harry Potter (or at least is was X-D ). It is suppost to be a bathrobe. Sorry for being a party pooper. Quote
Shadows Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Sorry to burst your bubble, but the "random woman" is actually the Dumbledore torso from Harry Potter (or at least it was X-D ). Someone put a lot of effort into adapting that. Before: After: Looks like a winner to me! *y* Quote
kill will Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Actually, I saw that random Dumbledore based woman on saber-scorpions lair so I think he made it or something. *wacko* It isn't in the shop though so I'm not to sure *wacko* *wacko* Anyways, I've always wanted keiken, thanks. Whack-a-Fig on! Quote
LuxorV Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 Thanks for the references *y* . I just added the credit for that modified Dumbledore torso :-$ . I have got a feeling I might have spelled doom for my sigfig, with that Keiken torso 8-| :-P LuxorV Quote
Shadows Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 ...I might have spelled doom... Which reminded me of something I wrote once in a fit of streaming consciousness. :-$ "What an odd place to put one of those!" was the last thought to enter Bob's mind that day, not because of anything that would happen to him, but simply because he was on Flargulon 12, a planet which made its orbital rotation once per second, thus placing his next thought squarely in the middle of the next day, short as it was; a situation that Bob neither cared about, nor was aware of as he pushed the glowing red button marked 'do not press' and waited to see what he had done, which, as it turned out, was to spell doom for all those inhabiting Flargulon 12; about 11 people and a sheep who were all quite surprised to hear the voice of the Announce-a-con 7200b literally spelling the word 'doom' though it's massive speakers, just as Bob requested when he pushed the button he thought was marked 'do not press', but which actually said 'spell Canadian bacon' in Flargulian, a language he didn't recognise and for which he could have used a translator, a situation unfortunately not addressed by the makers of the Announce-a-con 7200b since they considered it more important to translate from Flargulian to English, which, even more confusingly, fails to explain why their word for Canadian bacon would coincide with the English word for doom, though we have theories about that, mostly having to do with the fact that it is commonly accepted that Canadian bacon is the source of most of the evil in the known and some of the unknown universe, but I digress from my real point, which is, simply, people tend to push big red buttons with wanton disregard for the impending result far too often, something that should perhaps be addressed in the form of a public service announcement, a task perfectly suited for the Announce-a-con 7200c, the long anticipated replacement to the aforementioned model.
