iamded Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 (edited) So, although the idea of Lego Halo in bricks is good, but highly unlikely, how about Lego Halo the video game? Click here for article. Heh, it's not actually real, but I'd like to know what you guys think of the idea of it. I think it could be good, although the controls and game play would be identical to LSW, the stoyline would have little bonuses and extras not in the actual Halo game. It could be interesting. *sweet* ~Peace Edited March 2, 2008 by iamded Quote
Natman8000 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 This looks pretty cool, but it is unlikely. Buying the rights over a video game isnt cheap, and if it wouldn't be in set form there wouldn't be a game. Id leave lego halo to the Mocists. But lego starfox? *wub* *wub* X-D Quote
MicVash Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Wow, I didn't think was something that actually being considered! LEGO Halo would be pretty sweet! I've played LEGO Star Wars and I much enjoyed it! I really liked chopping stuff up with my lightsaber and seeing it destroyed into a buncha little LEGO pieces, and of course, breaking and building bricks with "The Force" was awesome. Halo in third person would be very interesting too. Plus, the LEGO version looks...well, "cute" in a way. And that seems to make destruction and battle just more enjoyable X-D From the pics on the article it looks like LEGO would have to come up with some new molds for the figs and even weapons if they ever made this into actual bricks. If they did...well...there goes my wallet. Quote
iamded Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 If I didn't make it clear in my first post, it's not actually real, it was an April Fools joke I think. ;-) Still, it would be cool, wouldn't it? X-D ~Peace Quote
Brickadier General Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Ugh, no thanks. I know a lot of people like Halo, but I think it would be the ultimate sell-out on Lego's part. It is a game meant to be played predominantly teens/adults, not Lego's target group (even though there are kids that play it). Plus, the game would probably be too trendy and overrated, much like its predecessors. If you can't tell, I'm in the minority camp that really dislikes the series. ;-) Quote
HopelessMagic Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I'm a Halo junkie. I'd totally buy into it if they made stuff like that. What are the blue creatures though? Are those supposed to be the Elites? Having Halo Lego stuff would never happen because of the gore involved. Halo is one of the top rated bad games for children right up there with Gears of War and Call of Duty. Lego would never do that to kids. The idea is neat though. If you could figure out how to make better Elites, some Grunts and some Flood, you could finish the fight Lego style! Quote
Johnny 5 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 If I didn't make it clear in my first post, it's not actually real, it was an April Fools joke I think. ;-) Still, it would be cool, wouldn't it? X-D ~Peace What makes you say that? Is that not a real magazine or what? Quote
iamded Posted March 3, 2008 Author Posted March 3, 2008 What makes you say that? Hmm. This. ;-) X-D ~Peace Quote
Johnny 5 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 (edited) Hmm.This. ;-) X-D ~Peace Hm. Good point, still no one knows for sure. Edited March 3, 2008 by Johnny 5 Quote
HopelessMagic Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Did you even read the article? It's very obvious it's a joke when you read the entire page. Besides, it said it would be released in the Fall of 2007 and we're past that. You don't see it on shelves do you? There's a good reason for that. LOL Quote
Deinonychus Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Hmm.This. ;-) X-D ~Peace Well you should have known this would happen. You say LEGO and Halo in the same breath and some people wet themselves in desire and anticipation. I love Halo and LEGO...but I'm just absolutely worn out from people who keep insisting the two concepts should become one. It will NEVER happen, and any brainstorming, daydreaming or creative MOCing of the mash-up has already been done. Let it go...let it go... :-P Quote

zero1312 Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 As much as I like a HALO game, but it's very unlikely that LEGO would release something like that. :-/ Quote
