I think no, because with standard it fits just perfectly, but something else will be longer, I think.

I could try to make middle part of camshaft shorter, but, then it wont have needed travel.

If you aren't going to drive just on dirt you shold try to put differential there. It will make driving on for example tarmac lot more siple and easier.

thank You, I know it. For differential different design is needed also.

I assume you will reinforce the rear axle?

No :) it's pretty sturdy, it is not the weakest part. I need to improve connection to body, because there is possibility of tohose pins to pop out. If I'll downgear, then also the speed will be so miserable, that theres no need to change anything at all. If it would run from some buggy engines, then it could be different story. For fun I have at home

Can't really see on the pictures but are you using two motors to drive this vehicle?

If so you could also consider to power each wheel with its own motor, that would reduce the need for a differential and would increase cornering abilities.

Yes, there are 2 motors.

Mainly I wanted to build lightweight axle, pretty close to some real ones.

Of course best (from power transmission point of view), would be to put motors on axle, drive wheels directly or trough knob gears. That was not the plan.
