higgins91 Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 HelloI present you my first modular MOC, a one-set MOC of the Sydney Opera House transformed into a hotel.IMG_6224 by alex peraux, sur Flickr A ground floor with revolving door greets customers.IMG_6212 by alex peraux, sur Flickr On the right is the reception with a large counter. IMG_6213 by alex peraux, sur Flickr On the left is the spiral staircase that goes up to the first floor. IMG_6214 by alex peraux, sur Flickr There is also a door to the backyard (very small) IMG_6215 by alex peraux, sur Flickr On the first floor is the room (yes there is only one room ) IMG_20180121_160657 by alex peraux, sur FlickrA large bed facing the bay window, a small office in front of the terrace. There is also a large sofa. The staircase leads to the roof. The roof is equipped with a swimming pool in which guests can relax as well as a terrace. IMG_6221 by alex peraux, sur Flickr IMG_6223 by alex peraux, sur Flickr I placed the hotel between the square of the assembly and the cinema palace to see the rendering, it's not so bad! IMG_6205 by alex peraux, sur FlickrThe opera does not have a minifig, I drew in my stock to give a little life ! Quote
beverly888 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 It's looking pretty good. I especially like the front windows. Perhaps the interior could be developed a bit more. The hotel looks great nestled between the other two buildings. Cheers! Beverly Quote

Beverly thank you, the details are dificult to do with the parts available. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 I did something similar with the GB headquarters; made a made a condo tower from the set and just a few other parts. You should go back and refine it. I think you will find that now that you're familiar with the parts you have it can be improved on. Quote
higgins91 Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 I took over the pool! enlarge the basin and redo the water.IMG_20180123_180717 by alex peraux, sur Flickr IMG_20180123_180707 by alex peraux, sur Flickr I had a shower on the first floor. It brings a little color (admittedly it's only white) to the entire floor. IMG_20180123_180650 by alex peraux, sur Flickr IMG_20180123_180639 by alex peraux, sur Flickr Quote
iammac Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Looks like quite a challenge. Admirable. How long did it take to build? MAC Quote
higgins91 Posted January 24, 2018 Author Posted January 24, 2018 Thank you, I took about ten hours, I did it in several days, the longest is to go out and put away the boxes of parts! Quote
