Dilvish Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 (edited) Has anyone modeled residential neighborhood power lines and poles in LDraw (or IRL) yet? I've tried Googling, but mostly get hits for various Mindstorms stuff. What tool would I use to make the actual cables? Thanks. Edited January 18, 2018 by Dilvish Quote
fastlindyrick Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 For the cables, there is a tool in LDraw called Lsynth that lets you add curved elements like hoses; I think that would be your best bet. Quote
Philo Posted January 18, 2018 Posted January 18, 2018 Instead of LSynth I'd rather suggest LDCad, much more powerful and easy to use. Rope LQ template (cylinder section, 3ldu/1.2mm diameter) should be fine to model power lines. Quote
Dilvish Posted January 19, 2018 Author Posted January 19, 2018 I am looking at this power line MOC: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/8435 How does this model need to be adjusted where two lets of lines meet at a 90 degree angle? I don't know much about utilities. Quote
