Hi.

Sorry if that' s in the wrong place but just a quick question.

Has anyone ordered some sets from the website starwarslegos.net?

Quite attractive prices on some sets but can' t seem to find any review on them.

Thanks a lot

Hi deses - welcome to EB!

It looks like that site has been around since the beginning of December, and as you noted there aren't any reviews.  Their Facebook page is similarly barren of communication from them in answer to people's questions.  You know the saying: If it's too good to be true...

I personally wouldn't chance it, but if you give them a try let us know how it goes!  :classic:

I doubt that you will receive anything if you buy.

The company doesn't have permission to use either "Star Wars" or "Lego" as their name, and they use both. Their prices are too good to be true ($230 for a UCS SSD from 2011, used copies go for about three times that on BL). Recently set up. No real contact details or address on the site or in the whois data.

Seriously, avoid it.

Reading a description I see they claim that the sets are genuine Lego, second hand and come without boxes or instructions, which makes the prices for the regular sets seems quite plausible (if not overpriced in some cases), but that doesn't explain the cheap prices on the OOP sets. Maybe a mix of actual second-hand Lego and knock-off brands, but does sound a bit dodgy. Also, they deserve to be avoided for the use of the word "Legos".

edit - Ah, reading through their terms and conditions in detail I found this "All our products are authentic Lego sets but not authentic Lego blocks", an interesting use of the term "Authentic Lego sets"...

It's clearly a Lepin outlet which is a no go in the EU

Both screwing with TLG, Disney/Lucasfilm and the EU in one swoop is pretty impressive *huh*

Cheers,

Like a fool I ordered the Executor from this site. One of the display photos was of the Lego box not the Lepin alternative. I remember being sure the we’re selling official products. Their website.      www.starwarslegos.net has been down for a week or two now. I have been in contact with this guy Manyl Monsouri who gives me unconvincing emails in broken English. My saving grace is that I paid through Pay Pal who are aware of the situation.
