Darnok Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 Sorry to everybody for me dropping out. I became pretty sick last week (OOC), with one of the symptoms being a serious lack of concentration. I think the game deserves better, so decided to leave when somebody else could still jump in at (almost) the very beginning. I will still follow the game, and hope you have fun with it.

Should we consider Jimmy Hessler (SteamDemon) a continuation of Cathy Bridger (Drunkhok), or as a fresh start? Probably makes no difference since behaviour patterns will obviously change, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

But I am not sure.

He’s a new character (it’s more fun if everyone has their own unique character) but he inherited Drunknok’s role copy-paste as not to shift the balance of the game.

On a side note, I’d love to hear any tips for taking shots that are supposed to be happening at night. Right now I’ve been taking them in dim light and exaggerating the shadows/lowering the brightness in Aviary, with mixed results. The ones from the first night and KotZ’s death turned out all right, but not so much fhomess’. (But that may be in part due to glare off the DBG tiles revealing just how dusty my sidewalks are!!) Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!
KotZ Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Definitely try to make your lighting a little better, that will help a ton. Then once you have that, color correct to how you want. I know there are better ways to do it, but coloring isn't my forte. Thanks for having me!
Kwatchi Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 I have had some of success just using a regular photo and running it through a black & white filter. Here's an example. It is by no means a perfect representation of night time conditions but the fact of the matter is we want to see your builds on this site for some reason , so it is a compromise that adds mood but doesn't lose much detail. My 2 coin.
