Have you ever seen a UFO? What about having a near-death expirience? Maybe you've had an out-of-body expirience? Or perhaps something else unnatural?

The only expirience I've had was that, or at least I could swear, that I saw a strange object fly up in the air and hover for a while near my house. But I was five at the time. It could have been a helicopter.

What about you?

Two friends and mine saw a UFO at school once. It was white, brilliant white, shaped like, well, like a stick - spinning slowly in the air miles away. We ran to the edge of the school field - it had disappeared.

Now, I mean UFO in the literal sense - it was flying, and it was unidentified - so it was a UFO. Not however that I am not alleging it was any kind of alien craft!

Too many people think "UFO" means "flying saucer", this is not strictly true.

I am now convinced it was just a glider or something, catching the light, it "vanished" because it wasn't reflecting the light any more.

Sigh...now I am having melancholic thoughts about my childhood. Everything I do lately leads to nostalgia and regret. Argh.

I have had an out of body experience. Here is the story.

When I was about 11 I was reading about meditation which brought me to how to trigger an out of body experience so I tried it one night and it worked! Soon I started getting scared so I did what the book told me if I wanted to go back and I thought of my body lying on the bed so I 'woke' up and I was so scared I stopped with meditation and became a pyromaniac. :-)

Once I took a photograph of an old, haunted hotel. After looking at the photo, I saw what looked like a glare. It was an orb, but upon closer inspection, there was a face in it! 8-

One time I was hanging out with my friend in his backyard at night. There was this hill with a bunch of trees. I looked up to the hill and I saw what looked like an outline of a human. We went up there and it was gone, though there was this McDonalds coupon on the ground.

Many years ago, I thought I saw a little flying saucer when my family was driving. It looked about the size of what could be a remote-controlled one but there were no houses, businesses, farms, etc nearby so that seems unlikely. I'm not really sure what it was.

While I haven't had any of these experiences, my mom has had her fair share of them.

When my mother was in her college years, she would often hang around with her friend Ellen. Ellen'd house was an old house, and strange things went on there. For one: my mom was once sitting on the couch, when all of a sudden some sort of cold force just pushed her to the other side of the couch. Also, as she and her friend were sitting watching television, the heavy metal basement door just swung shut and slammed. They were the only two in the house! And finally, they were all alone in the house once, and they heard clomping noises from outside, and the sound of footsteps running up and down the stairs.

And my brother has had one of these as well. When my brother Matt was just a young'un, he woke up in the middle of the night, and told my mom that he saw a man outside his window. My mom was frightened by thiss and let Matt sleep in her bed that night. A few days later, my mom dad and brother (this was before i was born mind you) went to visit my grandparents on Cape Cod. Matt saw a picture of my Uncle Tom on the shelf and said, "That's the guy who was outside my window!" Uncle Tom had been dead for a number of years.

So, now you know the story of my family's "supernatural encounters"...

Yikes. 8-| Same thing happened with by bed. I'd go to bed with socks, and I'd wake up barefoot. But the bed would puke the socks up, and I'd find them under the covers at the foot of my bed! ;-)

:-D ;-)

One time my dad swore he saw a UFO. He was so freaked out, he called the cops. The cops thought he was nuts. :-)

No not really ;-)

Please only reply if you have something to add to the conversation. If you don't have a supernatural experience story, there's no need to post. I've seen a lot of posts from you today that are similar and I hope you're not posting just to raise your post count. Please think before posting. Thanks. :-)

I can't say I've had anything happen to me personally. The ouija board don't even work with me. :-P

I am intersested in cryptozoology, the alien agenda, and even things like bottomless pits.

There is this stort story about a cave discovery that is very compelling if true, though the way it ends makes it seem a bit manufactured.

However, he suggested, that I should join this ritual, because I "have some power, which

he could tap on". hmpf.gif The sad thing is: he really believed in it.

The ritual itself, was not what I expected...

Just a couple of candles, a dark room, some concentration, and his mumbling voice.

But just as he finished the last sentence of his ritual, an entire bookshelf broke to

pieces, and I felt some kind of cold breeze. It was like, something, that was heading

right for me, but turned just inches before my face. cry4.gif

My girlfriend says that I'm a supernatural experience. X-D

Ok, ok, on topic.

I can read people. Just a quick glance and I know what kind of person they are, honest, dishonest, dangerous, etc, without any of the usual visual clues that people rely on. If you filled a room with people dressed identically, all trying to act nice, I could find the criminal.

I also get feelings before things happen, and have used that to avoid being robbed or involved in a deadly accident, for example.

I'll tell the accident story. When I was a kid, we were sitting at a traffic light behind 4 cars and next to a line of 5 cars, the last one sitting directly next to us. My parents were in the front, I was in the back. About 20 seconds before the light changed, I had a feeling. I yelled out "BACK UP!" and fortunately they did, about a cars length. Three seconds later a car that had been zooming up behind us changed lanes and plowed into the car next to us, throwing it forward and left, into our lane.

Turns out that the guy who caused the accident had left a club, drunk and on drugs. He was speeding toward us directly when he saw the backup lights and in his drunken haze, he thought a car was coming directly at him, so he changed lanes and slammed his brakes. If he hadn't, we would have probably been killed.

My moment of foreknowledge didn't do the guy next to us any good, as he ended up rear-ended, but at least the idiot was slowing down before he hit him. Technically, if we had been hit, we could have gone sideways into him, which would have meant a driver's side impact and could have killed him, especially at the much higher speed it would have been at.

We never commented on the backing up, it might have been hard to explain. There were never any questions asked when I made strange requests like that.

Supernatural enough?

I believe in ghosts and perhaps aliens, but I don't think this are supernatural experiences.

When we are on camp with the youth club we do on night with the ouija board. Two times we had contact with a person who was dead. The first time it was an uncle of a leader, but the second time it was frightening. It was the grandfather of a friend of mine. At the end, he was crying. The board (or the ghost/person) knew everything and it was right. And he said that he loved his grandson... That was so weird, it makes you think about life. I always have beleaved in such things, it makes my believe even stronger.

That's all. Perhaps the fact that I have so much d

You're asking for trouble. Ouija boards are... untrustworthy.

When you make contact with one, YES, you might be getting something that knows things only very specific people (or just yourself) should technically know about.

But you can' trust what you're being told as far as them saying who they are.

You ESPECIALLY can't trust them if they give commands to be followed.

You have no idea what goes on where that thing is communicating from. They can have unexpected knowledge, but more often than not, you're NOT contacting whoever you think you are, just something that's hitting up your own mind or even the party you think you're talking to.

A bit abstract to understand, I know. So think of it like this:

A ouija board is like a not like a phone. You can try to dial someone specific, pick it up and the person on the other line MIGHT be your aunt.

Or, it might be your aunt and then, unknown to you, a burglar who's good at impressions steps in.

It's more accurate to say you're dialing a public phone in the middle of a busy city... anyone and anything can pick it up and pretend to be who you were looking for. No matter what you THINK you're doing on a ouija board, you're not.

Then there's the second problem. If you're opening up, let's call it, a portal... you have to close it back up after you're done. So not only do you run a risk of being compromised while you've opened it, but also after you've stopped using it too, having likely left the door open. Sometimes they close themselves. Granted, maybe NOTHING will happen to you, but it doesn't mean it won't affect someone else in the world. An open door is an open door.
