Mesabi Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) Hear Ye Hear Ye! Captain Tyrell, Rogue WTC Captain, has been detained by Corrish forces in Moorington Bay. His trial is due to commence soon, as allowed by Corrington's Laws. Corrish Law allows for a trial of the Accused's Peers, which is any seafaring Captain on the Brick Seas (I. E. You!) So, We are accepting applications for Jurors in the trial Please Post in this thread. Please post a character picture for your juror, a name, and a ship for them. I'd recommend not using a main story character. The Court trial date is tentatively set for the 20th. Stay Tuned to this topic for updates! Court Docket: Charges: Piracy, violation of Sovereign Treaties, Assault on Corish Officers, Improper Ship Docking Presiding Judge: TBA Prosecutor: TBA Defendant: Captain Tyrell @Mesabi Defense Attorney: Jake Cochran @Mesabi Jurors: TBA Defense Witnesses: Captain Cristoph Tyrell (Icarus Returning) @Mesabi Captain Caroline Carolina (Beacon) @Mesabi First Mate Frederick Hammers @Drunknok Allen Landon, Bank of Corrington Officer @Bregir @Bregir Hope I'm not overstepping my bounds here. But I thought this would be a good topic to make. Edited December 9, 2017 by Mesabi Quote
Darnok Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I am far from impartial on this matter, so do not see how I could be of use. But I will follow the whole affair with great interest! Maybe a reporter from a serious newspaper should be present? Quote
Ayrlego Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 @Mesabi just hold on a bit, Bregir and I are discussing how to handle this. We are thinking maybe a court case similar to the ones we ran in the early MRCAs were a team of three builders builds for each side, and BoBS members vote Quote

Is this a good example for these? Because I was kinda going a different direction. I was thinking We would do it kinda like a real court case. I would call some witnesses, the prosecutor would call some witnesses (Either you or @Bregir I figure) And then we'd have a jury vote. Let me be clear (OOC Statement) Tyrell did it. It's just a writing exercise in my opinion. Which is really fun, but less about building. Quote
Ayrlego Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Yes, that is exactly what I had in mind - a focus on building where the outcome is not predetermined Lets take this to the Icarus PM and we'll discuss it there. I think we definitely have scope for a hybrid that is somewhere in between the two concepts. Quote
