Mechbuilds Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 (edited) Okay i have a very specific problem. I need to connect 3 turntables together. The top turntable is the larger one and the two at the bottom are smaller 3x3 turntables. The top one needs one gear with a 1 long axle end and 2 stud ends piece to add friction to the turntable. The bottom ones need two smaller gears to add friction with one of those gray 3 long axle pins and the second one can use a regular 2 long axle pin connector to add friction. The bottom turntables need to be connected in a way that you can spread them out a little bit I currently have the setup working normally except the fact that there is no mechanism to spread the bottom two turntables outward. So they're just static but turning. I need a mechanism that will spread the bottom turntables vertically a little bit. Since the leg is large, the hip doesn't need to spread out that much. The width of the whole construction needs to be exactly 7 studs wide from turn table connector to the other. Cause the turn table is 1 stud wide itself in the middle, the total width of the hip is 9 studs wide from leg to leg. The leg itself is going to be 3-5 studs wide. How it's currently setup If anybody can think of a mechanism that'll let me spread out the turn tables just a little bit, please help! The image is representing the hip joint from top down view. Up is forwards and down is backwards. So the leg actuators spread sideways. Edited November 18, 2017 by Mechbuilds Quote
Mechbuilds Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 YES! I figured it out. It took me exactly 60 minutes to figure out the correct mechanism that's durable and has enough friction to work. Here's a pic: Quote
