knotian Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Does anyone produce plain power function connectors so I can make some custom length cables without splicing? Thanx Quote
JopieK Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Well... I know the company that makes the connectors, it is not LEGO, but they are located at Kornmarken next to the LEGO factories. They are always there at Medica/Compamed, a large medical happening (in fact next week in Düsseldorf). I think that this is them: http://www.stansomatic.dk they work together with another company next to them (also at Kornmarken, in Billund). Quote

But, if you only need them to power motors, you could just get some old 9v cables, and attach the PF converter cables to the ends. Quote

Just to add a formal note: only normal motors exclude a Servo motor, as it uses the all four wires. Quote
knotian Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 Does anyone know of a supplier of Lego compatible power function connectors? I'd like to make some long custom cables rather than stringing short ones together for a fixed display. Quote
Jurss Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Disasamble one You have, and put some wire, as long as You need, between those connectors. For longer cables look also for something thicker (with bigger cross section) Quote

Jurss Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 @mocbuild101 yes, but cross section may be not enough for longer cables, and voltage drop could be significant. Quote
