meschepers Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) I was wondering if anyone knows of any customizers working on World War 2 guns, specifically rifles. I would like to get my hands on a few M1 Garand style rifles along with maybe a Mauser rifle or two. If anyone knows of anyone who produces them or plans on producing them I would really appreciate it. My poor Soldiers only have automatic weapons (from brickarms, great stuff, btw) an they need some rifles for longer range. I have found that bickarms is working on some. I found a few pictures on flickr that show a mold and a minifig with a garand in hand (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dunechaser/se...57594528374504/). This looks great. If anyone can confirm or deny it I would be appreciative. Looks great, hopefully they are producing them soon! Thanks to all! Edited February 20, 2008 by meschepers Quote
Inertia Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 The Indy sets have rifles, as with the old Wild West sets, maybe you could pick some up from BL or Ebay. X-D Quote
meschepers Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 I have tons of those. I am wanting something more WWII-ish. After reading the brickarms forums they have said they are working on a garand mold. Quote
concreteasflesh Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 great mod site, very popular with great weapons from WW2 to modern and future times. http://www.brickarms.com/ check on it. Quote
meschepers Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 I have already ordered stuff from that site. And in one of my earlier posts I mention that they are currently pre-molding and designing a garand. I still hope to see it come out soon. Quote
Benk Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) I heard mold #3 (featuring the Garand) it set to be released from brickarms very soon. -Benk Edited February 20, 2008 by Benk Quote
meschepers Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 Thanks, Benk! That's what I was hoping. I'll be keeping an eye out for it! Quote
Tanotrooper Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Here's my idea for a Ruusian PPsH: TT Quote
Sir Dillon Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Tanotrooper, your picture is too dark to see the details. Could you please describe to construction or perhaps take another picture? Quote
Tanotrooper Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Tanotrooper, your picture is too dark to see the details. Could you please describe to construction or perhaps take another picture? really? X-O It seems clear here, but I know there are different darknesses on different pc's. It is made from a Batman "Tommy" Gun, a brown minifig arm, and a brown minifig hand. Put the hand on something thats about a wide as the tommy base (I took the back of a paintbrush) and keep it there for some time to stretch the hand a bit, and then put it on the base of the tommy gun. You can put a left or right arm on as a stock, depending on the pose. I really need a bolt action rifle... I don't care if it's from BA, LEGO itself or anyone else, but it is necessary for WWI MOCs (and WWII also, etc.) TT Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I heard mold #3 (featuring the Garand) it set to be released from brickarms very soon. This is correct. Mold #3, which does include an M1 Garand was delayed due to some issues Will's molder had, but those problems have been resolved and the mold is rapidly approaching release. Here's a good shot of the upcoming BA M1 Garand in black with the BA monopod attached to the handle to demonstrate how the item can be held in a "pistol grip" manner: The BA M1 Garand will be available in both brown and black. badger Quote
kaboom4 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I have to agree with Badger. BrickArms is the place to go for all of your custom weapon needs. Hey, they're good quality. kaboom4 Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 As said earlier, Brickarms will get around to releasing the Garand. Be patient. ;-) Quote
