Dannylonglegs Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Oooh that was clever KDog! I love how this not only ties in with the current going ons, but also with the previous Dr. Who-Ronald showdown! It looks like the Doctor didn't do much last time, because Shwartz is still gunna run for president, and Mikey is still gunna be a cat! I hope Dr. Who can straighten out Ronald for good, and I wonder what our pall from M-tron is doing deep in the subconciousness of the time junkey! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 At some point I think you should return to the 918 storyline, KDog. The time travel is all well and good, but I want to see more of Ghost-Dash and the twins. Quote

The time travel is all well and good, but I want to see more of Ghost-Dash and the twins. You'll see more of them this year than you did last year. As for Scouse, I meant to make him factor in this storyline but didn't find a way to squeeze him in. There was just enough going on already. Quote
zero1312 Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Lunch Time continues! (The actual, correctly labeled Part 17):http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/?p=662644 Batbrick, I'll keep in mind the pacing. "Lunch Time" has been pretty talky due to all the time travel stuff and characterization, but I'll try not to make that a trend. The continuation of "Date Night" is going to be slightly later than I said, because I completely rewrote the ending of "Lunch Time" and it extended the story by a couple of comics. But I think you'll like what I added, as it's a little more far-reaching and resolves a little more. That's a new one..... Quote

There was just enough going on already. The 918 storyline was what really got me reading Lego:Space I like the mystery, and the creepiness of the whole thing. I also find it funny that the Space Agency can't seem to get a handle on what is going on, and that the President seems more concerned with recovering the 918 for his own personal use. Quote

Brad-The-Brick Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 BTW, galanos said the space agency was gonna make futuron a requirement. What happened to that? Quote
Sonic Screwdriver Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 BTW, galanos said the space agency was gonna make futuron a requirement. What happened to that? I've wondered the same thing. Somehow I don't think Schwartz would wear the Futuron-style space suit, even if Fleet Admiral McGann made it a requirement. Quote
KDog Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) Brad, those are some great sets! Drop me a link when you've created the comics or films. Sonic, the 918 storyline is one that actually has a pretty elaborate outline in my notes. The problem is that certain things needs to happen at a certain time to mesh with the other major plotlines, and it's been taking awhile to get there. But because I also enjoy telling the 918 story and don't like that I've had it on ice for so long, I'm adding a chapter or two in the middle, which you'll see in the relatively near future. As for the Space Agency uniforms, that's a great question. In all honesty, I kind of forgot about it. But that's because it factors in much later in a story I have planned, and I had consigned it to that. But now I have an idea for it, so I'm going to bring that up again sooner than later. And Sonic, you're right in that the uniform issue is intended as a challenge for Schwartz. Edited February 2, 2010 by KDog Quote

Nah, I'm good, you're easily one of the most listening and humble webcomic creators I've ever talked to KDog and my kudos to you for it. Thanks for the replies. I laughed at the Lost references, I got through the first 3 seasons before giving up but make sure you give us an idea whether or not it was all worth it by the end. The most recent parts had me cracking up way more than can be healthy though, I was really surprised at how horrified I truly was at the mere prospect of Robert Downey Jr NOT playing Iron Man! Even more scary is the prospect of Keanu "Wooden" Reeves playing him instead! Gargh! The fact that he's playing the lead character Spike Spiegel in the upcoming adaptation of one of the best animes ever - Cowboy Bebop - still brings on the tears some nights... Batbrick Away! Quote

Sonic Screwdriver Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Do you have any Spyrius sets that will make an appearance? I remember in the Lego universe Spyrius were considered the bad guy successors to Blacktron, but I always used them as black ops intelligence agency. If Unitron and Ralph Gunbar were the Military contractor guys who drank heavily, kicked down doors, and made a mess of things, Spyrius was the group that would plant a few bugs, disappear, and be listening in from a flying saucer far far away. I liked the Spyrius theme very much... there is a restored Saucer Centurion sitting on my shelf. Quote
