I am a new member and eager to learn more about Lego and in particular MOC's. However, when I click on the link to "Tutorials", I am not allowed access. Error code 2F173/H.

The link is on the, Welcome to new members, get started here page.

Help please.

Am I being impatient? I know this site is accessed from many time zones but I am disappointed that after 7 hours and also having clicked the "Contact Us" link when viewing the error message, I have had no response. Should I report it to get attention.

Hey man sorry this took so long to answer, not a lot of people are active here and when they are they only check once in a while.

I couldn't find the Welcome new member, start here page. Could you tell me where that is on Eurobricks. I'm actually kinda embarrassed I have to ask you this since I've been a member for some time and should know where it is. If you let me know, I might be able to help you.

Again, sorry for the wait.

Only 'new members', i.e. people with less than 10 posts etc, can access the section I believe. This may be why many people are not able to help, and why the issue has not been spotted before. I imagine a MOD will spot this before too long, and try to sort it out.

Thanks Collet that's why I couldn't find it, and kcc, sorry I couldn't help.

I remember reading about that rule Collet, but I guess it escaped my mind in the moment.

Sorry to not be of aid kcc.

Hope you have a good day though!

Tyndale and Collet, thanks for replying. Let's hope a MOD sees my post soon.

Otherwise I might have to post something offensive!

HaHa, only joking, I would never do that (intentionally).

Is it a link within the Signature line of the staff member posting? (See the bottom of my post, mine has links too).

I am afraid it is a little outdated in that staffer's profile as real life gets in the way and little things like updating their online signature get forgotten.

The tutorials list was very old and not often updated so it was moved to a different section of the forum, where such old threads go. If there is something specific you seek, chances are that someone can answer or has answered Theme Specific questions within that subforum, else General Discussion is likely to have the answers you seek.

Hi Peppermint, thanks for the follow up. I am a new AFOL and am surprised and almost overwhelmed at the sheer scale of info (websites, forums) related to this Lego. But there is no definitive guide! Probably because, I am beginning to realize, it is mostly about MOC's. I am mainly into City Trains and my next job will be to motorize the points/switches. This is a good example because a google search returns links to various forums and websites with various methods. You pick which one looks best!

I'll keep looking and learning. Thanks all.

If you're interested in trains, we have a whole sub-forum dedicated to them. You may want to have a look:

https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/forum/122-lego-train-tech/

Several people are developing specialised servo motors to easily automate points etc, search for 4DBrix to get started. Or, if you want to build your own using standard PF motors etc, there's a few threads around. I can only find this one at the moment:

It'll be good to see another approach to this.
