agrof Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 (edited) One of the best captured, and stylish built Technic car ever. Love every bit of it, the rear structure with the small panels is superb! Edited October 18, 2017 by agrof Quote
zux Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 The engineering behind the propellers really cool. Didn't expect both removal and rotation to be functional. Quote
Charbel Posted October 27, 2017 Author Posted October 27, 2017 I have uploaded some WIP pictures if you are interested : https://www.flickr.com/gp/143412814@N02/vXc3VW Quote
Charbel Posted October 30, 2017 Author Posted October 30, 2017 I have added the MOC to Lego Ideas : https://ideas.lego.com/projects/110e289b-d76d-45b2-bd7f-33fdad296b3f I did it because some people asked, I'm not sure that it will reach the goal and be approved though. Quote

I assume you also saw this brick-built one while you were there: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/9c91b8ea-128e-4af1-a38b-06d70e05b2f4 Edited October 31, 2017 by mocbuild101 Quote
Aanchir Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 (edited) Phenomenal build! You did a great job recreating the vehicle's shapes using panels in ways I've never seen them used before. It reminds me of the sheer wackiness of a lot of late 90s Technic sets, but with the technical and visual refinement of a modern-day set or MOC. The colors are very striking. And couple all that with it being a reference to a classic cartoon and you have a model that's appealing on several levels! On the other hand, I feel like you jinxed yourself in the contest by making Dick Dastardly's car — there's no way he could've won first place! Even so, congratulations on your second-place win! Charbel Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) After 5 long days of work, the instructions are available : https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11816/Charbel/the-mean-machine/ Edited December 27, 2017 by Charbel Quote
BrickbyBrickTechnic Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 It's great that there are instructions, but even greater is that picture in your post. It's sooooo nice! You are extremely talented with with video and photo software (just as much so with Lego too). Quote
Erik Leppen Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Wow, these handcrafted instructions are lovely! So great that you provide them for free. I think the photographic quality is excellent (although somehow on my screen, the purple looks like the old color from the Competition subtheme, rather than Dark Purple) and the model itself looks really nifty from the inside. I also like how one 42069 seems to get you already most of the needed purple pieces. Thanks for making these! Quote

The purple does look slightly different, the lighting and the photo processing must have something to do with it. Quote
Aventador2004 Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Great! I don't have the pieces, but this would be a great lego set. Have you thought about interview with lego? You are talented that way. Quote
