paulmaglev Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 This is going to sound stupid, but I wanted to get this question off my chest. Is there website that allows users to compare the market trends of individual Lego sets and how many units of each set get bought/sold? Sure, BrickLink can tell you how many copies of a set are sold and their average value for a certain period, but I wanted to know if there was a site that could provide a bigger picture. I feel asking this would be easier than asking which sets people like one at a time, only to have random responses that statistically do not represent overall trends. Quote
MAB Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Bricklink is good if you extract the data yourself over a number of months. The other site that might be useful is brickpicker. Quote
deraven Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I think the site you're looking for is: https://www.brickpicker.com Quote
bonox Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 brickpicker is based on published ebay sales is it not? It can be tricky when people don't put set numbers in titles, because then the stats get swayed. it has some value, but no more or less than BL I would think. Quote
HawkLord Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 For current sets, I would say eBay is the best barometer for this data. Tracking which sets are selling for how much against their retail value and identifying any that stay within a certain margin/percentage. It's no secret that most Lego sets can be bought at a discount online, with eBay providing even deeper discounts with people making quick sales. Quote
