Nebsirob Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 (edited) What does it say if you please?Just guessing, but perhaps "review of Lego somethingsomethingsomething" :'-) "Revier" is also called the "Ruhr area", which was a coal district, consisting of more than 16 cities. Here you go: The district (area) of Lego-stones DUISBURG. The Merlin Entertainment Group Germany put ten million Euro in the construction of their Lego Discovery Centres in Duisburg. After Berlin, this is the 2nd of this kind in germany... ... Therefore, there is a lot of working in the Wehrhahnspeicher (a former silo) of the haven, which hostet the Atlantis-Childmuseum until the end of 2007. On about 3500 square meters emerge 8 areas, which ought to be an experience for 3 - 11 year old visitors, and their adult attendants: The Ruhr area as a model landscape, a 4-D cinema, a gallery with famous film-characters, a ride through the dragon castle, the Lego factory, in which children can produce their own Lego(-stones) out of granule, a south-american jungle with a quiz-path, a room for chaniging exhibitions, and a build-, and play-area. Opening is scheduled for may. Edited February 15, 2008 by Nebsirob Quote

Hobbes Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 On about 3,500 square metres eight different areas are being created where 3 to 11 year-old children and their adult attendants can enjoy themselves: there is going to be a miniature replica of the Ruhr area, a 4-D cinema, a gallery with some well-known film characters, a journey through Dragon Castle, a LEGO factory where children can produce their own LEGO bricks by using granulate, a South American jungle with an integrated quiz journey, a room for exhibitions, and a building and playing area. So, except for the Ruhr area display it'll be the same crap as in Berlin. Guess they won't accept the annual LEGOLAND pass, either... Quote
Asuka Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Thanks for these interesting news, legomilk. *y* I would like to see that, one day.... and everything that helps to attract children to LEGO without deranging too much TLC Quote

Dadster Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 (edited) Interesting. I live in NY, USA and I doubt I'll be in Europe anytime soon, but it's still neat to hear about stuff like this. Edited February 15, 2008 by Dadster Quote
Brickadier General Posted February 16, 2008 Posted February 16, 2008 Interesting. I live in NY, USA and I doubt I'll be in Europe anytime soon, but it's still neat to hear about stuff like this. Well, I heard they were planning on building one of those Discovery Centers in the U.S. (Illinois I think), so you might be able to get a chance some day. Quote
