Hello everybody,

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but there is one thing that is really ... strange in the newer Lego sets.

My dark age is over for almost four years now. One of the first sets I built was the UCS R2-D2 and I was wondering about those few colourful parts (green, yellow, red, ...) which were needed but are not seen in the final model.

I know, they might be a help for the kids but ... I grew up with the good old "LL 928" and the large technic car. You know, that black thing with the red seats and the boxer engine in the back? There were no colored parts to help you. It was hard to have a handful of grey parts and to find their place in the model.

Why are they doing this? Are the kids of today too stupid to buildt those models?

Greetings

Easier to build, some colours are in abundance etc?

Guess it was covered in some discussions before:

Cheers!
