Deltatango Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Hi all, my name is Dirk, I live in Germany. After a 30-year (ok, it's more like 40) hiatus, two weeks ago I decided to take up LEGO again as a new hobby and got me two PF train sets (60052 and 60098) along with some additional tracks. I am not so much interested in LEGO as such but mainly into the railway part. And even more interesting is automation of (almost?) everything, from points (switches) up to the entire train operations business (if that's possible). I chose LEGO instead of the "real" model railways (HO or bigger) for several reasons: - I have to build temporary layouts on the living room floor (for simple lack of space) - HO gauge is too small for my taste and O gauge and above terribly expensive - It is much easier to modify and build something for a LEGO railway Let's see how this will turn out. I might lose interest during the next year - or I will actually build something. Who knows ... Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Welcome aboard Dirk...I love lego trains because I feel again a child, and deep inside of me I want to demonstrate that lego models are true modelism! Quote
