True, it should be.... But this is Wacky Contest, so who cares?! In the U.S. it is pronounced the same.

I know how it is pronounced. Similar example - a bit off topic but is wacky; remember tv series merried with children when (pumpkin) Kelly wanted to change her surname in Cat, but spell it like K.A.T...

Update Time!

1. The Chassis: It is sort of coming together now, I was out of town this weekend so I couldn't build. Photos tomorrow when I will hopefully have something worthwhile to show.

2. Functions: The V-8 is built and I have figured out ow to place it... Next step is routing drive to it. And mounting it. HoG is still WIP, I have figured out how my special function is finally going to work, now I just have to build the full V.1 model.

...and of course post images of updates because not all of us have high enough level of perception

Photo Update, as requested by @LEGO Train 12 Volts & @I_Igor: Sorry for the crap quality. I still don't have photography stuff I need.

This is the layout of the vehicle. Still having some problems with the chassis, but steadily progressing towards a viable solution. I hope...

I need to ask your opinion(s). Which of these plating options is better? Smoother with less teeth, or jagged with more teeth?

I would say the one with more teeth, even though I don't know what it's for...

@I_Igor I did not even know that was a real vehicle! I might have to mod my entry into one of those after the contest....

Ok. I am leaning that direction as well. The name is "Kraken," so take a guess.

I new about it longer time ago (in 2003 I thought to make 8455 C model inspired by that excavator...) but first time I saw it live was in 2014 when there were some works in one botanic park... It is called all terrain excavator

...and it reminds me on octopus (Kraken in Norway). Of course if some of our good members from Norway are reading this topis please correct me if there is need for it.

*annoying bell sound* You are correct! It will have 4 moving "arms" since 8 was too ambitious. And I only have 4 Claas tires.

More teeth, more respect. :D I really look forward to see it finished, the wheelbase looks great!

The votes are in! More teeth it is! Thanks! I hope to connect all the elements of the chassis today or tomorrow.

Looks like someone found the PickABrick wall recently, picked up a log of sand green slopes and bricks:laugh:

Very cool model and extremely wacky!

Thanks! And yes, I did hit the Pick-A-Brick wall in Portland last month. I got 1371 parts into a single cup! Personal best right there!

hm... crippled octopus - not my favorite, perhaps it could be called quattropod?! I have only 8 CLAAS tires and think it is not enough (specially one day when LEGO makes smaller ones...)

 Very funny. It'll be cool once it's finished. And I spent 63% of my annual Lego budget to buy the Claas Xerion. Yes, not enough, but I cannot get more. :cry2:

I understsnd very good what you mean...that is why I buy parts because I can not (always) afford myself to buy sets so I can only get them out of my head :cry2:
