I think it looks nice and I also like her pink dress. It uses that new poofy skirt piece. The new face looks off to me, the extra shine completely changes the look completely. It’s like we have to start collecting all the princesses again... Also I find it interesting only the main girls have the new eyes and none of the side characters or villains do... Quote

Now that I think about it, it is kind of unfortunate that it doesn't match the other faces. I wonder if the eyes of Cinderella and Elsa will also be redesigned? I really don't want to have to collect them all over again, but Ariel will stick out from the others with her different eyes, so I might have to. About the build and swap feature, it looks like some parts of the sets will be interchangeable. That should be interesting! Edited November 3, 2017 by Elf Gal Quote

officialnathanbanks Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Sweet! After viewing the cinderella images, I think the set looks like it's based in Lady Tremaine's Manor than the actual castle. Anyone else seeing that? Comes with the two mice as well... Quote

Digger of Bricks Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Much like the Elves theme, these sets seem to be incorporating more deeper, richer colors amongst their typical palette of pastel colors, and I'm kind of liking it. Particularly, Cinderella's castle looks great with its inclusion of Earth Blue, just like it did when I saw it in the preliminaries. Even though the part has a shingled texture, it will be interesting to see what people do with that new Earth Blue tower turret cone part. Quote
Legochaek Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 Build and Swap? What are we swapping with? Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) I love that we finally get Mulan--and that she's not in a huge set. What's the deal with that katana, though? The gladius piece would have been much better, I think (fortunately I have one, so I can swap it out). Edited November 21, 2017 by Still Raindrop Quote
Yeow Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Is that the return of Teal (Dark Turquoise) in 41155? Because that sure looks like it. Quote
Elf Gal Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Wow, so all their faces were redesigned. I guess they wanted to give the princesses a reboot just like they did with Friends. Their expressions definitely look more lively and tailored to fit each princess. (I think Maleficent and the princes are the only ones whose faces were left untouched?) I think the build and swap feature is really cool. I wonder if this is a one-time thing or if they'll continue it in the summer and/or beyond. What I don't get though is, why does it say build and swap on the Elsa and Mulan sets? There's no picture to show the swapping like the others, and given how small the sets are I don't really see what parts could be interchangeable. Quote
LegoAndDisney Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Gonna do a mini-review for these. I'm excited for this particular wave more than previous ones. Seems quite diverse and I like that! Mulan Set I like it! Mulan hasn't had a proper representation in lego form and I think this is a cute set to pick up. I will get it. Frozen set Meh! I love Frozen but the set's a bit pointless. I like Elsa's new expression so I'll definitely pick it up just for that. I like Olaf's little umbrella too. Little Mermaid set My first reaction to this was "another little mermaid set?" I mean...aside from King Triton more or less every thing has been covered from TLM in Lego form. However, I think this is a really nice set and it's nice to have a new variation of Eric. Sleeping Beauty set It's okay. I can't see what's going on inside, so it's difficult to judge right now. I think the castle should have been bigger, around the size of Cinderella's as this is a "Sleeping Beauty CASTLE", it looks more like a tower here. Merryweather looks fantastic and Aurora's new face looks great too. Maleficent looks hideous, but that's probably my personal preference for the minifig version. I'll still buy! Cinderella set When I thought this was based on her actual Castle, I thought it looked awful. However, now that I can see it's more like Tremaine Manor, I'm all in! The theming looks fantastic for Lady Tremaine's home and the mice included look so cute. I wish we'd actually gotten Lady Tremaine and possibly the step-sisters with the set too, but I won't complain. Nice to see the Prince minidoll updated to actually look like the movie with his gold-ness! Definitely a must buy. I'm thinking I may just buy all of these straight away when they're released. How long do we have to wait now? Quote

But I don't get why it says it on the boxes of Elsa's and Mulan's sets, because they are too small to swap anything really. You can change the roof and the balcony of the castles. Maybe the parts with Cinderella's castle will even be swap-able with Sleeping Beauty's castle, and vise versa. Quote

Hythonia Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 The Aurora and Mulan sets are must-have for me! I honestly really love the Maleficent mini doll. Quote
Huigberts Builds Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Still kinda disappointed, but the quality of the sets look great. The new faces look amazing. I really like 2 by 2 piece with the shape of Mushu printed on it, it makes me sad they didn't gave is a Mushu. Quote

Love Maleficent too! :) I realize now that there are swapable features with Mulan's set and Elsa's set, but it's very minor. With Elsa, you can switch the clock with a snowflake, and with Mulan's it's hard to tell but there are arrows and it show some sort of swapping. Quote
Toc13 Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 I'm pleasantly surprised with the price of the Sleeping Beauty set. That's just made it an auto-buy alongside Mulan Quote
