Brickwolf Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 I found the instructions on @Duq´s flickr and after collecting enough seats I build one in maintenance-of-way yellow. Avery nice addition to my freight car fleet! Quote
Duq Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Very nice! I love how that car keeps popping back into my life every now and then :-) Quote
M_slug357 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 looks great, just 3-11 more to make a nice rake of them! Quote
Brickwolf Posted August 6, 2017 Author Posted August 6, 2017 I rebuilt the gondola in brown, shortened it and changed it a bit below the floor: Quote
Duq Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Nice! It will run much better in the shorter version. The original is pushing the limits of fixed-axle cars. Quote
Brickwolf Posted September 21, 2017 Author Posted September 21, 2017 Update: I liked the build, so I build a second one: Then I build a matching stake car: Lastly I build one in maintenance-of-way yellow: Quote
brickmasterben11 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I like it! I would build one, but I have not nearly enough chairs. Quote

3D LEGO Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Brickwolf, Cleaver idea and execution you have there! Proof that sometimes, simple is more. Alas, all things must come to an end as I see the dreaded scrap gondola. R.I.P. Metroliner. 3D LEGO Quote
Brickwolf Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 (edited) I build a new seat gondola in dark bluish grey with black accents. Inspiration came from french freight cars where this pattern was quite common: Edited October 28, 2017 by Brickwolf Quote
Brickwolf Posted December 7, 2017 Author Posted December 7, 2017 (edited) New color variations: Octan: Blue (as a tribute to Duq´s original gondola): Edited December 7, 2017 by Brickwolf Quote
McWaffel Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 Simple yet so efficient! I like it very much. I didn't even know you could use seats like this :D Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Does the octan use clone parts? I like the dark bluish gray buffers and wheels holder! Quote
Brickwolf Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 as requested, pictures of the construction: Quote
BurkusCircus Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Looks great, currently trying to recreate the blue version, but with black accents... Quote
Paperinik77pk Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Nice little freight car...I think I'll copy it in 12v/4.5v version!!! Quote

Paperinik77pk Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 (edited) Hi all, after a bit of digging, I finally found all the seats to complete the gondola in 12v / 4,5v version: It is all made by vintage parts, following the style of grey era sets. Stacks are mounted thanks to 4070 "brick with headlight" parts. Since it is a bit more "innovative" , it seemed to me a phase II grey era wagon, so I coupled it with the glorious 7735. It is a very nice addition to my collection! Thank you @Brickwolf for sharing this!!! Edited February 4, 2018 by Paperinik77pk typo Quote
Brickwolf Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 Great build @Paperinik77pk Thank you for posting it here! Quote
577 Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 (edited) this is amazing! I love how you used the chairs, it makes a little more space and some amazing detail, now I want to see your other creations! Edit: Oh, I only now just realized that you didn't come up with it, great build anyway! Edited February 24, 2018 by 577 Quote
