TalonCard Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 (edited) So I don't know about all of you, but I really enjoyed Spider-Man: Homecoming this past weekend, and I love that Spoiler Peter Parker's friend Ned Leeds is a LEGO fan. But apparently Ned Lee was partially inspired by the character Ganke Lee, a friend of Miles Morales (a Spider-Man from an alternate universe) from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, who builds something way cooler than a LEGO Death Star: a LEGO Pirate ship! Looks like Ganke's creating some kind of Brickbeard's Bounty/Imperial Flagship inspired hybrid MOC--either that, or the LEGO Pirate line in the Ultimate universe is way cooler than ours. But I guess none of these universes have Spider-Man LEGOs. ;) Apparently this scene is from Ultimate Comics Spider Man Vol. 2 #2. Gonna see about getting a copy... Anyone know if LEGO Pirates turn up in any later issues? TC Edited July 13, 2017 by TalonCard Quote
JeffBuilds Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 Marvel Ultimates? I believe it was around that time, the Red Beard Runner was the Go-To Pirate ship, with battle-damage features, including a collapsing stern and mast, the last of the best wave of LEGO Pirate sets, from 1985 to 1998 or so. Quote
