Sir von Lego Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Hi there, today we joined the ComicCon Stuttgart 2017, Germany. I managed to display my layout of the Mos Espa Podrace Starting Grid. It was a big success!! Visit me on Facebook: www.facebook.com/jbspielwaren, Instagram: www.instagram.com/jbspielwaren or www.jb-spielwaren.de. Greetings Hendrik Quote
Smack Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 (edited) Hey SVL, I was wondering if you could post a link please? I would really like to see some pics. Edited July 2, 2017 by Smack Quote
darththeling Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 The Facebook page has lots of pics. Some really arresting vistas there of the Boonta Eve Classic. Each podracer seems like a UCS creation in its own right. This is simply an outstanding achievement, Sir von Lego. How many podracers total? I counted eight. Quote
Azrielsc Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 That is one spectacular diorama! Can I please ask how long it took you to complete such a huge display and what were the challenges that you faced to bring this to life? It is very interesting to hear from a builder of such an iconic scene! Apologies in advance if you have explained it in your FB post. Quote

Sir von Lego Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 Thanks for your comments. it took me 2 years, 500.000 bricks and 2.500 minifigures to build. there are two more podracers, but I forgot to take them with me... All that tan color, will have to switch in color now for the next scene..(-; Quote
peedeejay Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 Thats one massive display! Now I regret not going to the ComicCon. ;-( Quote
TheBeeze Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 WOW that is huge. I couldn't imagine trying to store, pack, transport, and then set that up to display at a show. Your detail is incredible! Quote
