While updating my old cars, I decided early that I wanted to keep many parts I had already used on the 1.0 versions. Well, that didn't last long, my hands immediately grabbed totally new parts right from the start, much to my wallet's chagrin. lol

It was worth it though, this 2.0 version is better in almost every way.

Here's a look at the beast punching through the hood.

The engine is so powerful it needs to use a chain belt or else risk exploding like a supernova lol. I think the whole assembly looks like some kind of turbocharger with an intercooler maybe..

The round silver tile is a radiator cap.

NOTES

•I would use black electrical tape to clean up the jagged edges of the black billboard design, as well as to add the HEMI logo in front of the door handle.

•Removing most of the black roof bricks lets us simulate it folded down.

•Steering column is similar to my Superbird so it's adjustable.

•For both of these features we need to use three black [1x1 plate with handle]. Unfortunately the Studio program doesn't have the part yet.

•The tail lights are a basic build but are very accurate. Red is the body, LBG is silver trim, the red light is wider than the white light.

•The exhaust is attached via 180 SNOT.

•The protruding lights clip onto the 1x8 tile.

•I'd like to use an old western pistol as a pistol grip floor shifter.

•Like the Superbird, bars are used to attach the wheels to the axle plates.

•I like the seats most of all, they resemble magnets so I'm calling this car color "Red Magnetic". If Metallica can make up weird names then so can I!

•Yes, minifigs fit inside.

Thanks to everyone who stops by to check out my stuff. This will probably be the last car I post, there just doesn't seem to be any interest in stuff like this.

I really like this build. Instantly recognizable and proportional to the real thing. You could theoretically use the same basic design for a Challenger too. I would like to build one, but maybe mine would have a body color roof. On the subject of colors, Mopar had some great options back then; red, yellow, pink, orange, purple, a couple blues, and greens. Wow, so many possibilities.

Yep, could tweak it to make similar-body cars like the Challenger or a Roadrunner.

The only thing that I can't figure out is how to "legally" add the 2 vertical chrome bumper sections to the rear. However, there's a gap next to the exhaust where I can just stuff a LBG tile and it would stay there from friction. :)

Going with a coupe body would let you get a sleeker finish since then you can substitute the hinges for a 1x3 slope.

I want the next car I make to be a flashier color like orange or lime. Started working on a newer Grand Sport Corvette and maybe I'll go with orange or yellow.
