Brick-of-the-Wild Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 I jusr recently became aware of the 93081 flower accessoires sets. They were just available in a couple of friends sets. I really like versatility when it comes to foliage elements. Anyone know why they have been discontinued? Quote
pinioncorp Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 I do wish they'd made them in white. But I suspect the limitation of requiring the entire bag made the cost of manufacture unviable. Quote

Cant say I like the butterfly and the bug. Waste of resources Imo - you may need lots of roses but may never need as many bugs. Quote

I imagine it is because it is cheaper to make them all together on a sprue and have a single part number for the whole bag and include the extras as free, than it is to make single bags of the same part (but lots of the part in the bag) and need to include multiple bags if they have more than one of the items in a set. Why do they need multiple parts in the bag? Due to the weight. They need the bag of tiny parts to register when they weigh the larger bags they are put in to ensure there are no missing parts. Pity it was just recently that I discovered these elements and lego wont sell them anymore. Should have cared more about lego friends ☺ The vines been discontinued as well, luckily I got myself more than twenty... its when you think some elements will become popular and you learn they are gone...
