WhiteFang Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I feel, for the amount of mini-figs that are in the battle-packs, it seemed rather pricey. Furthermore, both packs do not have any new faces or figs. Feel, that chess set or cross bow attack will be a better option to amass army =D However, this set is still nice to get for any Castle Fan ^^ Quote
Turaga of Force Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 AWESOME. FINALLY THE MINIFIG PACKS ARE COMING BACK!!!! I missed the minifig packs so much. The ones with minifigs on stands, and the packs that came with 5-6 minifigs each. I am so excited... Hopefully they will make them for other themes too... maybe an Exo Force robots battle pack! Quote

The only pricing I've seen was the ebay auction which had them listed for Quote
Athos Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 I wonder how much they'll cost. I also wish they came in the cardboard boxes rather than the goofy plastic. Steve Quote
Username_Taken Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 While I agree that these are great sets, annd I don't mean to look a gift horse in the mouth, but why don't we get any pearl shortswords? I'd be much happier if the soldier on the top right of the Knight set had a shortsword instead of that glaive, which I see of more of a Skeleton weapon anyway. Just my 2 cents... U_T Quote
NATO93 Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Well, if they make some with orcs/goblims/elves, wouldn't LOTR executives start getting suspicious? You never know what might happen. We all know TLC wants to make LOTR... *sad* I can see my self making a very large army...finally |-/ Nice pics! Quote
wulf Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 YES!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IT'S DREAM COME TRUE : ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(I just hope there not mangents!) Quote
Nyundi Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Not sure if this was mentioned, but there is a seller who has some of these on Bricklink now too... Quote
Shadows Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Absolutely great, if the price is right! I wonder how much they'll cost. I also wish they came in the cardboard boxes rather than the goofy plastic.Steve I have to agree there. I think the packaging is the best indication that these won't be S@H or LEGO Store exclusives, but are being aimed at the checkout line of your average Walmart/Target. Plus, they would be a lot harder to rip open and steal parts out of, which unfortunately I do recall seeing with the boxed minifig sets (though not often, I bet it would be more common now). Quote
hollisbrick Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 so where did you find these pics??? i've already commented them in other threads *wub* and i think that these will come out about march along with the *skull* chariot! Quote
Norro Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I wonder if we'll see a royal variant with king, female, and jester etc? God Bless, Nathan Quote
Vader Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 There's not much i can really add that hasn't already been said, so i'll just add that i love them *wub* Big *y* to lego on this one. Quote
rik Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 agaa................i am a big castle-fan and want those battlepacks!!!!!!! :-D :-D X-D Quote
concreteasflesh Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 im amazed but a bit skeptic at the same time, i mean what is the point of the plastic, a 'what you see is what you get' effect, or cheaper to package then boxes? where is the information about it before it showing up on ebay? why are there flags on different weapons and not the 2 together as in all the other sets? the face of the grill helm knight looks like this one to me: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb023 and i havent seen it in other sets, yet its here... the brown cross fits because its in the castle, but other wise no price, no number and looks very simple and generic. either it could be a prelimanry picture or a smart two bit ebay seller looking to cop in some extra bucks with nice packaging. BUT, if it is real....yessss, my army is be doubled many fold and they shall conquer the world of brick unchallenged and hence, i the master of their domain and creator of their world shall be pleased and i shall give forth great gratitude to Lego.... and all this talk always....I want a horse too, i want more figs, i want more factions...always I WANT....i am pleased to see the progress of TLC and wait patiently for brighter suprises to come..and till then i shall swell my pocket so i can please my self by not just looking at pictures of things to come, but to hold them in my hand and send forth their destiny in the land of bricks... salty tbone Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Well I just finally caved in and bought the chess "battle pack" this weekend, so I probably won't be getting these. But I'm still excited about the news if these are legit. Battle packs are an AFOL's dream come true (well, at least mine. :-) ) Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Someone has bought them off Ebay for Quote
Batbrick Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I'm gonna chime in with Norro, I hope to see a variant that inlcudesa King, Princess, Jester and civilians. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote

Although the civilians should be in a seperate pack, likewise: Royalty Minifigure Pack: King Queen Princess Prince Jester Townfolk Minifigure Pack: Man Woman Boy Girl Hunchback(If anyone has anything better to offer, I'm taking all comers ;-) X-D ) Quote
Shakar Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Troll* Battle Pack: Troll* leader with armour Troll* Warrior (brown torso) Troll* Warrior (dark bley torso) Tan Giant Troll** Green Giant Troll** *Read "Orc". :-P **Just read "Troll", since "Troll Warrior" exists only in Lego's mind. ;-) Townfolk Minifigure Pack:Man Woman Boy Girl Hunchback(If anyone has anything better to offer, I'm taking all comers ;-) X-D ) What about an elder man?Shakar Edited February 5, 2008 by Shakar Quote
Batbrick Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Troll* Battle Pack:Troll* leader with armour Troll* Warrior (brown torso) Troll* Warrior (dark bley torso) Tan Giant Troll** Green Giant Troll** *Read "Orc". :-P **Just read "Troll", since "Troll Warrior" exists only in Lego's mind. ;-) Shakar Thats a good list, however I doubt we'd see two trolls, so I'm guessing this: Troll Leader with Armour and gold helm Troll General with shiny torso Troll Warrior with normal torso x 2 Troll Of course they're really orcs X-D Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Shakar Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) i was thinking that too, the problem is: which type of Troll should they include? The tan one or the green one? Shakar Edited February 5, 2008 by Shakar Quote
Batbrick Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I'd say the Tan one hopefully, even if it would look a little strange alongside the green orcs. I love both kinds, but we don't get as many tan trolls. Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
natelite Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 with all this great stuff for the castle line, i was thinking perhaps they have too much of a good thing? at first i was going to buy lots of battle pack, but after seeing the chess set decided against it now. if there's more good sets with lots of mfs, i might not get the chess even. :-P what i am driving at is that everyone (incl afols) have limited budget and money. by making too many good sets, i am afraid that some of the good ones will not sell well. not because of the design but more because people can only afford so many.
