Stash2Sixx Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 GBW (CP1) Commonwealth of Southern Territories - Grunt Work LEGON - C6 After the 8 men of Alpha Company finished their morning PT, running through the dense forests of Northern Legon, they were instructed to meet in the motorpool. When they arrived in the motorpool, Col. Sampson was waiting. "Gentlemen, as you may or may not be aware...we've got some punks up in Studica looking to start some shit with our friends. Now, according to our government, we are not yet engaged in combat operations. However, that does not mean that we will not support our allies in every way possible. We've been granted permission from the Toohati government to assist in establishing an alliance Forward Operating Base, codename F.O.B. Jedi. As we speak, our allies are working to construct this base. Again, as of right now, we are only sending supplies to our allies to assist with the construction." "How can we assist Sir?" "Well, we aren't really in the business of shipping concrete and steel beams. But, we can effectively transport precious cargo! And we just happen to have some." "These 6 crates need to get to the airfield and aboard the next transport plane bound for Toohati. So, I will leave you men to the task at hand. Load the truck, gear up, and escort this transport to the airfield. Any questions?" "Sir, may we inquire into what it is we are transporting?" "Certainly. You gentlemen will be transporting 6 crates, each one containing an elite M134 "Night Stalker" Minigun. These will be paramount for our alliance, and they needed them yesterday. So, let's get rolling!" Spoiler A few other pics for the build... The Humvee and 5 ton truck are both mods of Brickmania kits. The tool chest is a Brickmania model as well. The motorpool was inspired by KOSBrick. The trees were inspired by many different builders. There are Brickarms, Minifig.cat, Eclipse Grafx, and Citizen Brick items throughout. Quote
Merc4Hire Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Splendid scene; really captures a sense of realism. All the little details like the soda machine, the masonry brick walls, and especially the trees in the background add a-lot of detail and then the 2 trucks bring the whole thing together nicely. Captain Genaro Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Oh goody, some new toys for Filace's navy to intercept. That's a great build you have there. Lovely job with the vehicles, the Humvee especially. The round garage door thingy is simple, yet incredibly effective (I'll have to remember that one for my own MOCs). And the trees outside the windows are just the icing on the cake, great attention to detail. Overall a fantastic MOC and entry. Quote
Spud The Viking Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Splendid scene, the lighting makes it so much better. Great build! Quote
Leonardo da Bricki Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Most excellent build! The details are great, and your support is much appreciated. Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Great build stash! You integrated a lot of details, but my favorite is the rolled up door (for some reason) Quote
Phadeout Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 That is really nice, all the way through - the details are great and the overall level of realism is excellent, the cargo would be handy if any if it makes its way to Briolui ;) Quote

The Great Brick War Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 You've Been Awarded ( 8 ) Point(s): Judges Comments (not all judges comment): Very nicely done. Tell me where I can get all the blank tan torsos minifigs? The trees outside the windows made me do a double take. Like others have said, the roll up doorway is a neat technique adding a nice touch of reality. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the vehicles since they take up a lot of space but they are hidden behind the figs and crates. Nice work!
