I decided to make some more customs and to finish some old ones which still need to be finished.

Starting with Ackbar over here:

Here are some older ones. I didn't post the ones I'm not that proud of.

I know his visor shouldn't go up and down, but I did it anyway, much coller that way.

Your decals look so smooth, good job!

Thanks, but those aren't decals, I painted them. The headpeaces are made from Supersculpey for those who wonder.

Thanks for the comments dudes.

That He Man is so cool, I'm sorry, but I'm gone copy that..... :-P ;-)

I must say you have great talent, like i said above i love the He-Man. So you say that you painted it, what paint did you sue and does it come off when hand touched?

I have found with paint that even when coated it dosen't last too long :-/

Your Ackbar is very close to the one i first made, same as the Shaak... Though most peoples shaak looks the same X-D

I use Games Workshop paint. It's acrylick based, which means you can easely mix collors until you have the kind of color you want. It's not water resistant, but it does stay on. It's just really really easy tow work with. You have lots of colors ( http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.uk )

That's true, all inspired on the one from the video game, but those are very nice and look the most official I gues

I use the same paint, though like i said i do find it comes off too easy. Still it's the best i have found so far.

So any plans to expand on the He-Man Universe? A Skeletor would be great.

Maybe use some varnish (hope that's the right english word). But since I only use them for displaying it's not sush a big problem.

I hope to do a Skeletor some day, but the problem is that a good custom is very time consuming. But the Heman is for a friend actualy, so if I make a Skeletor, i will have to make a new Heman.

BTW, there's a Hellboy coming up, also for a friend. I got about 15 custom heads or headpeaces lying here, still need to paint most of theme

How did you make Cody's visor do that

I carved some small holes is the helmet and then modded the visor with a very sharp kniffe so it could swivel up and down. You just need to be patient adn use a very very shark kniffe. If it's no sharp enough it's very dangerous, you're all warned kids!!!

I will make a new one, because I sold this one on eBay, I'll post pictures of how I made the visor when I start making a new Cody

Bobskink-Thank you so much for sharing these! Your sculpey carving skills are amazing! I use sculpeyII is it the same as supersculpey? Do you used the colored kind or do you paint all of the sculpey? Yes, it is called varnish in English, what kind do you use? I use testor's clear coat. I'm amazed that these are paint jobs. You are a very skillful customizer. I read most of the thread, but let me clarify: is Cody's visor made of sculpey?

I can't tell you how wonderful these look. They're very impressive and I'm glad you've brought them here to share with us. Can't wait to see more! ;-)

In this case, Natman is perfectly right! It's already the second post (out of 3 you made) in which you ask somebody (Bobskink again, btw) to give you copy of his work.

This is not a customs shop. People post here pics of their creations to get feedback.

If you want to discuss with them about purchasing copy of their items, please do that via PM.
