Sunder Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) It's hard to find some quite realistic MOC about nuclear reactors. So I decided to fix it. Some kind of chibi version of soviet RBMK reactor hall. Exhausted fuel is replaced by special machine. At first you must remove square plugs that cover technological channels, where fuel cells are situated. Then device is placed over the channel and it connects to reactor. It lifts old fuel and places new one. Exhausted fuel is high radioactive and produces heat, so it is stored in spetial pool near reactor for about 3 years. Leviathan Bricks Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Really cool parts in here. The color of it is also really great. Its nice to look at. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Its boring, drab, overly realistic; and I'm in LOVE with it! To many "reactors" in Sci-Fi, media, models, and Lego are big colorful affairs that often ignore how the things actually work. You have it pretty spot on, with the collection of fuel rods (dark grey rods like the real thing and not Simpson's transparent green too!), to the automated rod retrieval crane, to the pool to store waste. It is very obvious you did your research, and it shows in the model. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 This is a gorgeous MOC! Just one question: are those guys healty? They both seem too pale! Quote
