Two-Faced Batman Fan Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 (edited) I was wondering if they'll release any of the two in HD or Blue-Ray? edit: Found this on amazon Link! Edited January 24, 2008 by Two-Faced Batman Fan Quote
blueandwhite Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I was wondering if they'll release any of the two in HD or Blue-Ray?edit: Found this on amazon Link! Probably, but Lucas has always been very resistant to these sorts of things. It took a dog's age to get Star Wars onto DVD (and even longer for Indiana Jones). I think he still wants to see a revival of Laser Disk :-D . In all seriousness, one of the biggest drawback for HD formats is that studios and producers have been slow to get behind the technology with must-have titles. Quote

Actually, I had a friend who was in charge of DVD production at Fox. She told me that they sent officials on a near monthly basis to beg him to release SW on DVD. He kept refusing because he was waiting for the installed DVD user base to be big enough for large profits. He had nothing against the technology, he is just a businessman first. Watch the Phantom Menance DVD. Lucas got $2 BILLION from JUST Pepsi for endorsement rights to it, yet he kept insisting that they keep movie costs under $100 million. That's not an artist speaking, that is a businessman. Edit for typo. Edited January 24, 2008 by madoka Quote
