JamesJT Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I had a day at home last week and before I knew what was happening I had built a rowing boat and a skull... Lego Technic Skull by James Tillson, on Flickr I put the skull in the rowing boat and it reminded me of a crawling zombie. Version 1 was too "meaty" (its amazing how much new red technic looks like wet blood). Lego Technic Zombie 04 by James Tillson, on Flickr I put a T-shirt on the final version. He reaches out, pulls himself forward, bites and looks way creepier in the "flesh" than I can show in a youtube clip. Quote
Frequenzberater Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 That is just awesome I would like to build one of this! Quote

Can there be a better introduction? I love these builds... not just because they are entirely unique, but the functions are actually pretty marvelous. The rowboat and crawling zombie are so smooth. Id hold on to perhaps the zombie..... if we ever have like a halloween competition perhaps you could expound upon it..... I am sure if would be a winner.... Quote
Victor Imaginator Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Incredibly weird creations. I just don't know which i like most) Both are looks so alive. Quote
Jeroen Ottens Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Brilliant, if only for the topic title The zombie may do we a little less red, but it's movements are so smooth and well executed Quote
BusterHaus Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Excellent work - the movements on the zombie are really smooth. I'm surprised it doesn't veer to one side. Quote
Madoca 1977 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 He is the star in Romero's new film: "Building of the Dead" Quote

I was thinking of Frank from the movie Hellraiser and I wanted it to be as gory as possible without making people sick. A grey version with red LED eyes could make a good T-800. 32 minutes ago, BusterHaus said: I'm surprised it doesn't veer to one side. The arm doesn't pull, there is a ratchet hidden inside that only engages drive while the arm is moving backwards (like most of my builds, its a trick). Quote
agrof Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 (edited) Just another LEGO Technic Superzombie... WAIT.... WHAAAT????!!! Phenomenal! The original idea, the movement, the weirdness... and same for the rowboat... I am seriously amazed. (Hint: You could find some great use of old Bionicle parts, there is a lot of weird stuff.) Leonardo da Bricki Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Excellent creepy builds! The zombie is epic! Will you make instructions for the zombie? Quote
Attika Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I've got no words. Funniest masterpiece of engineering I've ever seen. "James for president!" Quote
Saberwing40k Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Got to be honest, the zombie had me reaching for my shotgun, it's that creepy. But, it's cool, and the stiff motion works. Quote
VKTechnic Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I really liked the boat mechanism, would be cool to see that as a completed model. Either way, the zombie is very organic and natural, well done :) Quote
Capparezza Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 This is awesome and, yeah, very creepy too. An original Idea like this is seldom to be found. Quote I had a day at home last week and before I knew what was happening... I wonder how many good things are coming out of situations like this... and how many bad things, too Quote
ctx1769 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Rick Grimes goes for his Colt Python! Quote
DugaldIC Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 How very clever/creepy, this is great. Very fluid movements on both models Quote
veryrusty Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Would love to see some more photos of the rowing boat. That mechanism is cool. Quote
JamesJT Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 I made photo instructions for the boat. Zombie photos coming soon. Quote
