TK924 Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 Here's my crack at attaching two of the 75137 Carbon Freezing Chamber sets together. This was the best I could do with what I had and not being a very creative person, I think it turned out ok. Any feedback would be appreciated. This pic is with the back half not yet attached. On the left and right of the top platform you can see how the Carbonite stage is held up in place. Same view but with the Han in Carbonite fig in the lower position. The platform is just not tall enough for the Carbonite fig to go all the way down. It's not going any lower, but I just wanted to see if I could actually build in the play feature. This is going to be a display piece only so it doesn't really matter that much to me. Full view with the back half attached. Zoomed in shot on frozen Han with Fett looking on at his prize. Carbonite lift in the down position. Best I could do. Close up from the left side. From the right side. So that's it. Let me know what you think. I'm probably done with the exception of adding some additional figs in the future. Quote

LOBOT-OMY Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 Nicely done buddy. I bought 3 of these sets last year to try and make a MOC, but I just never seem to find the time to perfect it. One day soon I'll have another crack at it ! J Quote

You should have an easier time with 3 sets. Post some pics when you're done. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 The round complete structure is much more beautiful! The original set looks incomplete ...very nice MOD! Quote
Dukeside Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 I have 2 of these sets but it's still sitting around I couldn't figure out what to do with them. Quote

I can't take credit for this MOD as I looked at what someone else had done and just put my own touch to it. 17 hours ago, Dukeside said: I have 2 of these sets but it's still sitting around I couldn't figure out what to do with them. Two sets is the way to go. Maybe one day I'll get a 3rd set and make it even better. . Quote
FishW Posted February 13, 2017 Posted February 13, 2017 Awesome! I almost want to buy a second and try my hand at it. How sturdy is it with the connection? Looks pretty sturdy just wondering. Nice job! Quote

Looks pretty sturdy just wondering. Nice job! The front half is really sturdy as you can see in the pic below. Notice the two black technic beams along with the gray technic bricks stacked on top. The only thing holding the back half onto the rest of the platform is two of these 1x4 swivel bases so it's a little more susceptible to coming off if picked up aggressively.
