Hello,

I joined awhile ago, but thought it was time I said "hi".  Over the past year I've re-discovered my joy of Lego.  I've got my old Lego back from my parents last year which I've slowly been cleaning due to poor storage - I'm about 3/4 of the way through but now have lots and lots of small pieces to deal with.  Some of my Lego must be about 40+ years old as it came from my grandparents but it looks as if when I was younger I was predominately getting Castle and Pirate sets, with some Technic sets thrown in for good fun.  I seem to have a little bit of everything though.

I was surprised to see that I have kept a lot of instructions (and even old catalogues) so re-building these sets is going to be great fun.  Some of what I have is;

  • 8842 - Go kart
  • 6067 - Guarded Inn
  • 6073 - Knights Castle
  • 6085 - Black Monarch's Castle
  • 6941 - Battrax
  • 4010 - Police Rescue Boat
  • 8865 - Test Car

A lot of sentimental value in the above.

I got hooked again via minifigures then microfighters and I've bought a few bigger sets since, notably a UCS Tie Fighter which I'm slowly building bag by bag.  Fair to say I'm getting hooked again and I'm already trying to work out my next purchase.... erh... everything?!  Maybe the Caterham.

I'm not a prolific poster on forums I have to say but I love looking around and I'm generally in ore of some what I've seen already!!

Cheers everyone.

Steve

Hello there! Your list looks indeed very good. The Knights Castle was actually one of the very first sets I got (I had the Black Monarch's Castle as well btw), so yeah, I think a lot people here share the same nice memories on these sets :classic:  I had fun last year restoring the Test Car as well. Taking it apart, washing all the pieces, reassembling it... just a lovely zen-like thing to do :wink:

And yes, the minifigs (and small sets in general) really got me hooked again as well. They are so cute, its just not fair. Then again, there are worse hobbies for sure! :wink:
