"I am Captain Winthrop of the whaling vethle Reaper'th Revenge and these are some of my crew, Walter and Wesley. And you would be?"

"Pleasure to meet you Captain, I am Throlar Wineghilm, the Earl Wineghilm, son of Marquis Vethir Wineghilm, current ambassador to Eubric. I'm here to aid the Ji Pei in establishing a secure airship route between Eubric and Xu in hopes of forming closer relations with them."

The merman tips his hat to Ezeran.

"Aww he ain't causin' any trouble *Hic*. He's one of the finest land lubbers I've had the pleasure of meetin' this evenin'. *Hiccup* This a friend of yours Torald?"

All kinds of *hic* monsters, huh? Interesting. Aye, he is a very good friend of me, Ezeran. Jolly good fellow, with some nasty *Hic* magic up his sleeves. But Ezeran, this poor man is gonna loose *hic* his crew if he doesn't find a job soon. You know *hic* anyone who needs to get rid of some *hic* seamonsters, Ezeran?

Senceing that conversation with Ripton & Giovanni was not really going anywhere decided to find an empty table. 

Well gentleman I think I took up enough of your time I am going to move on. Oh, one last thing the Crescent Union might be building a fueling station near by and might hire a few people to help with the construction. It might be worth a look if you don't mind automaton.

"Not a shower perhaps, but I've got work on tap if you're interested," Hoke says confidently to the captain,"It's honest work transporting goods, crew, and passengers.  It may not be as exciting as whaling or wrangling sea monsters, but it pays."

Hoke smiles and looks to a table in a darkened corner and waves over for Umbra to join them.  He also gestures towards the barkeep to deliver 2 more rums for Captain Ahaba and the man sitting with her.

"Lady Umbra, may I present Captain Ahaba of the Rosalind, Amelia, her navigator, and this fine fellow I am yet to be acquainted with," Hoke says as he indicates each crew member,"And Capt, Amelia, and my good man, this is Lady Umbra Shadeaux of the House Shadeaux, esteemed delegate and representative of the Crescent Union.  Drink compliments of me as we discuss a possible business venture."

"Madame," Hoke says as he pulls up a chair for Lady Umbra to sit at the table and stands beside her as she sits.

"Well I heard there wath a bit of a unretht a while back thomethin' to do with an underground cult or thomethin' or another and thome merthenarieth were cauthin' havoc and what not. To tell the truth, motht of uth don't make it back to Fellcretht often. You been there before? Though given the current lack of work, who know thome of uth may be headin' there thooner than not."

Umbra who had taken a table off in one of the corners to watch the proceedings slowly makes her way to the table. The Shadeaux representative bows her head in greeting before speaking diplomatically.


"Good evening, Captain Ahaba and esteemed crew. As I'm sure Mr. Ablesword has informed you we are in ze shipping business and are looking to secoure some land outside of ze Warf and are willing to compensate a fine crew to ensure zat zings are taken care of for ze next week while we are away."


"Is that a fact? And what sort of compensation would my crew and I be looking at?"


"I believe 300 Gold would be sufficient for ze job."


"Come now, no need to insult me. My crew and I could collect salvage on the rocks for three times that amount."

"But would your men prefer staying ashore close to fresh food and fine grog, or cramped for weeks on a boat in a lifeless ocean? 400 Gold."


"The Rosalind's one of the smoothest and most spacious ships on the water, I'll have ya know. 500 Gold and we won't hold you responsible for any of our losses that may be incurred."

Umbra turns with Hoke to the side and lowers her voice.

"What do you know of zese sailors, do you zink zey're worz it? What of ze ozer crews?"

Torald was stumbling about the place, when he saw Hoke and the lady from the ship. He heard her say something about a crew. Sobered up a bit already, he quietly told the lady about Captain Notirt and his problems keeping his crew together. Maybe his crew is cheaper? He seems like a good person.

"There are at least two other crews in this tavern," he whispers back,"I'd rather us not give all of our financial backing to a single crew before we hear the other ones out.  I believe the merman at the bar and possibly one of the skeletons over there are captains.  We should check with them first."

Sitting at his table drinking water and other stuff. Basically watching the other people in the place. And then  starts to fight off sleep, dozing off and on.
