WesternOutlaw Posted March 5, 2008 Author Posted March 5, 2008 you must have like tons of lego to be capable to build jungle or building quite easily, speaking of quantity pieces wise. Actually Hoang, I built this a number of months ago for the EB Neighborhood contest. But it's mostly from bulk bricks and some detailed parts from Scorpion Palace and Harry Potter's Shrieking Shack. I could probably build again without impacting the jungle. nonetheless i like your ideas and style Thanks. This is a very nice compliment. I think what made this particular MOC look good was the colors. The combination just seems to "pop". Perhaps I'll revisit this again one day. Don't forget to visit Grave Stone if you care to visit something a little scarier. ;-) Quote
WarnIcarus Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I really like it, I only wish you wouldn't mix fleshies and yellow minifigs. Your architectural buildings skills are brilliant. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 12, 2008 Author Posted March 12, 2008 I really like it, I only wish you wouldn't mix fleshies and yellow minifigs You mean you don't like mixing them? Others have said just the opposite. I usually try not to mix. I didn't do it in my Jungle Adventure for that reason, but I don't think it looks too bad. The outside could have been more detailed, but I ran out of white pieces. I also wanted to expand the 2nd floor, but had to stop. Quote
Batbrick Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Sorry TheBrickster, I didn't see this comment: Thanks BB. I've used a few different faces over the years as I theme hop. Sort of like the 7 Faces of Dr. Lao. Are you familiar with the movie? Here are a few: No, I am not familiar with that movie, but I have heard you mention it several times. Maybe I should check it out one day, it sounds rather intriguing. I like your choice in sigfigs, Adventurers is my favourite them that I never got to collect much. I guess I have different Batsuits, but I don't think that counts... You mean you don't like mixing them? Others have said just the opposite. I usually try not to mix. The exotic atmosphere and other timely mood establishes a sure way of harmless mixing (one so good I only notice it now infact). Unlike other mocs which seem awkward by having them mixed in plain settings, the feeling of Casablanca and other classics embodied in this I think really help it, that you would get such diverse customers. I don't mind mixing much, when its effective, its often quite humourous with JT and Indy faceoffs, and even a funny, yet thought provoking racism vignette I saw once. I agree the outside could be more detailed, but I still love the style you've given it. It sure is a fine creation, I enjoyed seeing it again, thanks to the person who brought it back up *sweet* To the Bricksignal! >:-) Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 12, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 12, 2008 I just couldn't resist posting something in this thread while being in Casablanca. Casablanca ON :-D Quote
