Ivan_M Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 So as title suggest, I would like to replace the spring in the larger shock absorber because the genuine one with very hard spring is expensive as hell. I tried searching for a data of the spring so I can buy some 3rd party but unfortunatelly I didn't find any. The only data I need is the stifness of the spring (N/mm), the easiest way how to measure it is putting weight on it till the absorber reach its end and writing the weight here. Thank you very much for any input. Quote
Ivan_M Posted January 19, 2017 Author Posted January 19, 2017 Thank you! This is exactly wht I was looking for, I wonder why I didn't found this video myslef. Again many thanks Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I'd actually wait a little bit, the 42070 set probably includes the springs, and that should pull the price down. Quote
PorkyMonster Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) Some people may not like it, but I'm all for 3rd party springs, like this: It's cheap, smaller, and we can go for ANY strength . Can also incorporate some dampening effect by inserting a half bush right above the spring! Edited January 20, 2017 by PorkyMonster Quote
