Best way to keep track of what parts you have

So im starting to get into mocing and was wondering whats the best way to keep track of all the parts you have in your collection?

If you haven't done it yet, sort them out. There are numerous threads devoted to sorting with suggestions on how to sort them and what to store them in.

I also recommend the collection manager on Brickset.
