5150 Lego Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Saw the trailer yesterday when i went to go see Cloverfield. This was the first time i had even heard of a new star trek movie,so i was preety excited! *wub* Quick question though.. Is anyone else concerned that not using the original cast of star trek could really hurt this movie, espeacially since its based of the orginal series? I know that everyone in the orginal series is far to old to be used in the upcoming movie, but it will be really wierd to see completly differnt faces on the bridge of the original Enterprise. *wacko* Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted January 20, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted January 20, 2008 For me this is THE movie of 2008. I almost never go to the cinema, but I'll make an exception for this one. Thanks TT for this news! Quote
yellost Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I dunno, I wonder how they'll manage the design, though... I mean since the film is supposed to happen just before the beginning of TOS, it's gonna be weird if they give it a modern look of nowadays... But then again, if they keep the old design of the serie, it's going to feel awkward and old... Wait and see, I guess... Quote
Greyfox327 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I dunno,Zachary Quinto looks quite like spock I'm not talking about looks. Noone can be better a better Spock than Leonard Nimoy. Quote

And ithink thatsgonna be a big problem, espeacailly for alot of hardcore star trek fans. I really don't see anyone playing the parts of the original cast other than the orginal cast. Quote
zero1312 Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 Let's just see how they're doing this. ;-) I think it will be great. :-$ Quote
