Just thought i'd introduce myself as a newbie in here (although i've been lurking for a month or so).

I have just got back into lego due to helping my sons (aged 6 & 8) with the numerous lego models they have been getting for birthdays etc for the last year or so. I am not really into any one specific theme although i do have more technic than anything else at the moment. I also have some castle stuff, Batman, Starwars etc - anything that catches my eye really. The only thing i don't like is the bionicle stuff (sorry bionicle fans) - to the extent that if the kids have problems building with it my misses helps them because i won't. Looking forward to buying loads of the new 2008 stuff, some great new stuff coming out, especially liking the new technic excavator, the coastguard stuff amd the agents models.

Hello and welcome on eurobricks :-)

I also don't like Bionicle, but it sells well for TLC and some people like it. Some people even make great creations out of it :-)

Hi there and welcome.

I'm not really very fond of Bionicle either but I know a lot of kids who love them, and in the end LEGO is a toy for kids. ;-)

Hope seeing you around in the forum *sweet*

Welcome!

I don't care much about bionicel either. I lost interest in them in 2007. I just buy one or two a year for the parts now. They can make great MOCs sometimes.

Welcome to Eurobricks. See you around.

P.S. Not say what you should buy but you should let Lego Indiana Jones catch you eye.

Welcome to EB, fugglewyg!

I liked the first two series of Bionicles; the second was the best in my opinion, and I have all the 6 Toa :-$ . But after that, :-X . Sorry, Bionicle fans ;-)

Many thanks for the welcome messages folks.

Exobuilder - my user name doesn't have any meaning, it was a made up name i used to use for my character when i was playing AD&D many years ago.

Zouave - i have seen a few pics of the new indy sets and they do look quite nice, probably get one of two of them.

I have just added to my collection as i happened to be in a local toyshop and found a load of lego sets they were selling off cheap, i bought

7709 Exoforce Sentai Fortress

7019 Viking Fortress Vs Fafnir Dragon

4404 Designer Set

8454 Technic Rescue Truck

All brand new in sealed boxes and was just less than

Welcome. Castle stuff sounds good. If you have any pictures of your collection you should post them :)

As for Bionicle, it's *wacko*
