WinXP Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 What is the problem? I can help, but only if you send pics. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 If you need a new wire you can find it on bricklink ...if you have another issue you have to be more specific Quote
sopacificloco Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 My problem is not the wire. I'm unable to snap on the rectangular shaped brick piece that is connected to the wires to each side of the flat support under the track. I'll send a couple of pictures to give a visual of the problem i'm having. Quote
supertruper1988 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 That track is not the electric model so you wont be able to get the power to the wheels anyways. You need these rails:http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2865&name=Train, Track 9V Straight&category=[Train, Track]#T=Phttp://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2867&name=Train, Track 9V Curve&category=[Train, Track]#T=P And you will need this motor:http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=590&name=Electric, Train Motor 9V Modern&category=[Electric, Train]#T=P The rails you have are from the older 12v system that is a different power pickup method as seen here:http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=7735-1&name=Freight Train&category=[Train][12V]#T=P Quote
WinXP Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 That track is not going to work for 9V. The rails on the 9V electric system have metal stripes that conduct electricity and send it to the motor. The rails you have are from the 12v/4.5v system from the 1980's. The 12v rails have one center rail that is used by the motor to take electricity and run. 12v/4.5v system The 9V rail (shown above) has little holes for the conector, and does not have a center rail, instead it uses metal stripes on the rails.
