TitusV Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) On a sunny day (that is, on a not so gloomy day. We're in Nocturnus after all), Alric hasted himself to Gal Turok's offic (that is, a dark hole in the ever darker keep). The goblin leader had summoned hime immediatly. Gal Turok: Ha. Alric. You're late. Alric: I'm sor- Gal Turok: I've important news. Today, letters have reached me from the other leaders of the Resistance. Alric: Why didn't you tell me it was important? (In fact, Gal Turok had stated it was important, but Alric tried bravely to save his face.) Gal Turok: I did tell you it was important. (So much for saving one's face.) First of all, a rider form the city of Shadowmere. Though the Spire does not yet dare to attack Lord Vladivius's keep itself, the rider told me they need to fend off scouts or foraging parties regularly. Alric: But that's horrible! What are we go- Gal Turok: Could you please stop interrupting me? A raven has also reached me from Skavenport. Lord Isentooth has the same problem as Lord Vladivius, but worse. Yesterday, he had to fend off a lost orc-regiment. Though no treath, these annoyances keep him busy, so the Spire has time to search that mystical helmett. ------------ Thanks for looking, CC very appreciated! Credit for the Shadowmere design go to @Lord Vladivus, and for the Skavenport design to @Jacob Nion. Also an overall thanks to @Blufiji. Bonus shot: Edited December 19, 2016 by TitusV Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Awesome builds! I especially like the Skavenport build- cool woodwork! Quote
Blufiji Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Great series of builds. I'm glad to be apart of what you've put together, and you have represented both Shadowmere and Skavenport really well here. Your ground texturing has come quite a ways, and the buildings/walls are very well put together. Congrats on your awesome work! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Each build is easily recognizable as being set in Shadowmere or Skavenport. The Shadowmere wall has nice detailing with the touches of dark red, SNOT tiles, and crumbling battlements And you did extremely well with the 'rickety' style of the Skaveport house. The section of stonework that is angled works really well Quote

The section of stonework that is angled works really well Thank you SK! At first, Shadowmere was totally black, but I decided it needed a bit of colour Skavenport turned out pretty well I think, but it was such a pain in the megablocks, I won't do it again! Quote
Grover Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 The whole build is great! I really like the uneven roof on the second and third pics. The rickety fence in the last pic is really cool, too. Great job! Quote
Jacob Nion Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 Great vignettes! You did an excellent job depicting the architecture. I'm glad to have this scene settled in my city. It fits really well, thank you for this. I also like that you depicted these skirmishes to make the current events in the east visable. There is a lot of talking about the war, but people have to see it to get into it. Quote

Brandon Stark Posted December 23, 2016 Posted December 23, 2016 That is a splendid set of builds you got there. Judging by the MOCs I've seen of Shadowmere and Skavenport, I think you stayed very accurately to their architecture. The story is also great and entertaining. Good job. Quote
LittleJohn Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Excellent work here, the crumbled wall effect is fantastic! The crazy angles are also pulled off nicely, and fit perfectly with the Skavenport feel. That road texturing is superb too Quote
Exetrius Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 A rather amusing, lighthearted tone, you have given to your story, Titus! You nailed the Skavenport build, if you ask me! The pavement and the tore-down wall are great, but the wooden frameworking is just bizarre! Quote

I'm not sure about the crazy angles, they're not my favoured part of the build. But Skavenport=crazy angles, so I just had to include them On 9-1-2017 at 10:09 PM, Exetrius said: A rather amusing, lighthearted tone, you have given to your story, Titus! Bizarre is indeed the right word for the woodwork, and I'm really pleased with how the crumbling wall turned out so I'm glad you like it. Quote
MassEditor Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Great job recreating scenes from this two finest of Nocturnian cities! The references to the story and past events are excellent. Nice work! Quote
