Roboflincoln Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Hi guys and happy holidays/christmas/birthday/etc Looking for inspiration here. Although I have a healthy sized spare room I have to admit I have people staying often =( I figure I can possibly donate roughly 1.5 metres by almost a metre permenent residence for something, and I can go upwards too and down... if I cannot go out. Looking for something to aim for as at present I see grand city mocs that I am uber jealous of! I would like to fit the tram from the city square set into it, potentially on an old monorail. I would also love a railway of some sort! soooooo any tips would be great :) I have bits building up and nowhere to go with them! Thanks in advance :) Quote
NewTown Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 I have limited space as well so to maximize diversity I make all my MOCs in my town 16 wide, 2 per 32 x 32 baseplate, usually 3 stories. Unfortunately I too am running out of space. Looking forward to Assembly Square and turning the new Park Street Townhouse into a modular but after that I am maxed. Quote
J_C Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 1) stop buying Lego for a while 2) buy a bigger house 3) start buying Lego, when you run out of space move to 1) Repeat. (sorry ) Quote

(sorry ) Couldn't agree more... I have a similar problem... Although option 1) for me would be to buy a bit less LEGO. (I wouldn't be able to not buy LEGO) But during the Christmas holidays I will set up my trains (and additional stuff of course) in the livingroom so temporarily occupying it totally. Since it temporary I don't get complaints and still enjoy a nice large layout. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Don't display everything. When you build a new set/MOC replace an older one. It will keep your display looking fresh. Quote
Chilis Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Use one of these: http://www.ikea.com/no/no/catalog/products/S19011777/ 75 cm x 1,25 m Looks good, affordable and stable. I have build my city on three of these and it works very well I guess. Feel free to have a look at my Instagram-account. www.instagram.com/chilis_no Quote
