Klaus-Dieter Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Thank you very much for the pics, Tyranide! But I've got two questions: Why don't the new two Castle Impulse sets (the skeletton with the skeletton horse and the knight with the catapult) and the Castle advent calendar appear in this catalogue? Will there be a City advent calendar this year, too? Quote
Some guy Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Omg,new toa's and enimy's! thanks for sharing. Quote
Batbrick Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Thanks for these pics! Sadly, batman is not showing his head yet :'-( The agents line looks alright, some of it looks bad, other bits really good. I think might get some of the smaller sets. Batbrick is Back! >:-) Quote
Athos Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Circus and cavemen and farm and zoo? Why does Duplo get all the best themes? Anyone of those in minifig scale would be wonderful. Wish the belville pictures were bigger. I'm still hoping for a full turkey... Thought this might help to: p.1-3 Introduction p.4-15 Duplo p.16-21 Creator p.22-25 Technic & Mindstorms p.26-27 Belville p.28 Theme Introduction p.29-34 Town p.35 Trains p.36-37 Impulse p.38-39 Castle p.40-41 Agents p.42 Exoforce p.43-44 Indy p.45-49 Star Wars p.50 Bionicle & Racer's Intro p.51-55 Racers p.56-57 Ferarri p.58-63 Bionicle Steve Quote
iamded Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Castle line's still looking fantastic! *wub* Thanks for the pics! ~Peace Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 NOOOO! The beautiful Indy set pics... aren't there! I wanted to see the jungle duel... :'-( But, there is other stuff... like Bionicle, which I think looks good, cept for Tahu. But Star Wars sure looks great! But where is the rest of the EF sets? Agents looks pretty good too. 2008 On. *y* -ZotS Quote
Freddie Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I'm thinking that the retailer catalogs may be localized to only display items that will be available for sale within that region, so a retailer catalog from a different country possibly displays additional sets as well. As a side note; looks like Ctiy-Airport wasn't a big seller, gone after two years - normal cycle is three. Quote
Tyranide Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Well. This catalogue is the one distributed in Russia... but that doesn't explain why there's Indy pics, since there'll be no Indy in our country. One of the biggest LEGO shops on my city scanned this one, not me, so I can't take bigger or better pictures. I'll try, of coursse, but I can't promise anything. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 thanks Tyranide. I looked releasing dates. there was writed that castle sets release in may, but in finnish catalogue, releasing date is april. what is releasing date in other countries? Quote
ultraman_bc Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 In Singapore, castle sets will be released in March Quote
Shadows Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Circus and cavemen and farm and zoo? Why does Duplo get all the best themes? Anyone of those in minifig scale would be wonderful. Apparently TLG thinks we lose all interest in nice, peaceful themes when we turn 6, or whatever the top end of the Duplo age range is. Though I could skip both circus and cavemen, assuming zoo included all of the circus animals. Wish the belville pictures were bigger. I'm still hoping for a full turkey... ... and a pony. :'-( Quote
Kahgarak Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 WOW!!! What is the red bionicle on page 2? Tahu Nuva. Quote
Tyranide Posted January 19, 2008 Author Posted January 19, 2008 thanks Tyranide.I looked releasing dates. there was writed that castle sets release in may, but in finnish catalogue, releasing date is april. what is releasing date in other countries? Well, then release date is month before the date listed in this catalogue. I think so because Phantoka release date here is February (I really, really will be one of the first Russians to get'em... jst go to the shop on 1st February morning...) Quote
Piranha Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Isn't that this set?http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/sam89/20...nes_-_river.jpg No, actually I think he means the smallest set, with the tent and camp We had only one picture so far, the high quality one is absent though 7678 Droid Gunship (or TIE Defender)7679 Fighter Tank TX 130S 7680 Twilight 7681 Homing Spider Droid Lets not forget 10188, the Death Star! 8- Quote
RupeeClock Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I still wonder what those 4 hidden Indies are going to be like. TLC stop surprising us! Quote
sam89 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I still wonder what those 4 hidden Indies are going to be like. TLC stop surprising us! Have you see these pics? Jungle Duel River Chase Jungle Cutter Temple of the Crystal Skull Those are the four 'hidden' sets. Quote
Brainbox Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Thanks for the pics. I guess it's nice to see everythnig in one place. That is, everything that is shown. Sadly, there're still the other two Batman sets to be revealed pisture-wise, and the other bits and pieces people have mentioned. It's really looking like a fantastic year. Quote
Deinonychus Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Wow...thanks a ton! Finally have a pic of the Creator Steg...and I'm in love *wub* I honestly don't think this is everything. Quite a few Star Wars and Batman, a Bionicle or two, and I believe I remember a couple more Coast Guard sets listed somewhere (like a platform of some kind). Plus, there's always the retailer exclusive holiday sets like Target usually gets. And does anyone but me think LEGO might be done with Exo-Force as a marquee theme? Quote
penn42 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Hey all. I am a new collector, coming back to lego after being gone for many, many years. My two boys have gotten me seriously interested again. Anywho, disclaimer of NOOB status completed, I have what will sound like a silly question. There are a few sets in this catalog that show mid year 2008 release dates, but I have already seen them previously. The one I am thinking of is 7036 Dwarves' Mine. Is it being re-released? Thanks ahead for reading. Ch Quote
Deinonychus Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 I think the Mine will be rolled out with the rest of the new Castle sets this spring seeing as its in all the listings. It almost seems as if LEGO is testing the waters for the new sets by releasing them as a couple of retailer exclusives first (The mine for Target, and the Wheel for TRU). Quote
Zarkan Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 And does anyone but me think LEGO might be done with Exo-Force as a marquee theme? It's a possibility, but I wouldn't count it out quite yet, since this catalog is missing other stuff as well, like the large Coast Guard 4X4 and several summe starwars kits. ;-) Quote
