matt280 Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 I got a 60051 and 60052 train set. I've noticed that the 60051 wheel slip a lot. I disassembled the train and basically combined the motor, sensor pod and wheels into one blob and ran only them. No problem ran like a champ. But when I started adding more and more of the train cab itself the slip starting showing up little by little. It wasn't until I added the front nose that the worst issues showed up. In comparison the 60052 train set works no problem. Is there a imbalance in the design of the 60051 the causes the the front to be heavy enough to cause slippage in the back? Quote
JopieK Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 If the train is too light this happens... The PF motors are very night... That is why 12V trains had weight blocks. Traction is always an issue! Quote
dr_spock Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 60051 has the battery box over the train motor so that should help. The long nose could move the center of gravity forward away from the train motor area. Try adding some more weight at the rear of the motor car and see if it helps. Check that the tires on the train motor aren't covered with dust and dirt. Gunk can reduce grip. Cleaning may help too. Check that the other cars can roll freely without much effort. Quote
