brckgrl Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I'm hoping to build SNOT roads for my city, but I'm stumped on how to implement a few things. I'm hoping someone here will have some good ideas I'd like to make a thin lane divider, the width of a panel. How can I build this in a structurally stable way? How can I incorporate flush street level grilles (2412b)? Thanks very much for the help. I'd also be interested in hearing about how others use SNOT roads in their layouts, and any tips they have for someone new to it. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 (edited) 1. Most snot roads and the bricks on the side which would easily let you have a 1 plate wide divider. 2. You could do grilles with a L bracket and grill on top of it, or if longer grilles are ok the 1x4 fence with the X pattern would be cool. Edited November 27, 2016 by gotoAndLego Quote
supertruper1988 Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 I really like the solution put forward by Michael Gale on l-gauge.org. You can see them at the bottom of the page here:http://l-gauge.org/wiki/index.php?title=Reference_Instructions Instead of using the large 8x16 tiles, you could easily modify the design to have bricks on the sides all the way across with a mixture of plates to get road markings.
