NielsVV Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Hi, I downloaded some portrait instructions from rebrickable but don't understand them. Can someone explain me how to read these? Thanks, Niels Quote
imvanya Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 1 row = 1 brick = 3 plates high 1 column = 1 stud wide The notches mean exactly that - verticla notches are 1 stud apart, horizontal notches are 1 plate apart. At the top you have the list of all the parts you will need to build the portrait. All layers appear to be 2 studs deep. I am sorry if I have just explained something you already knew Quote
NielsVV Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Thanks imvanya, but what you told me, I already knew But still, I don't understand how to build this. Think I will print it out and take it to a club meeting to ask someone in person. Quote
Erik Leppen Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 What do you not undestand about it? You just stack the bricks and plates as shown. The image shows the bricks in side view. Quote
NielsVV Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Ok, but what's at the bottom of the page? I understand the portrait is 2 studs deep, but why/how is the white brick in the middle of 2 - 2 higher? Quote
imvanya Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 Those white bricks definitely look out of place, a misprint, I would say. Overall, the build does look quite straight forward, so I would not overthink it if I were you. But I agree, mistakes like that do not help. Maybe, it is some kind of an evil prank on innocent AFOLs? NielsVV Posted November 25, 2016 Author Posted November 25, 2016 Ok, if its a misprint, then is it clear to me. Now I can order the parts on bl. Thanks for the help. When I have build it, I will post a photo of the result in this thread. Quote
