Minifig Lecturer Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) This is a basic stadium design I made using LEGO Factory. It is poor as regards detail as (1) it is a rushed job, (2) I have made it to minimize cost and maximise bricks, (3) the idea is to get an estimate price for a lot of bricks and (4) this is also a first draft. The cost for the below digital MOC is €532 before post. Pretty expensive. I will fix it up and add details, and see what the price amounts to then. I guess somewhere in the region of €700. More pictures of initial digital design Update: Using a large amount of primarily grey bricks I have bought, I have started work on the new stadium. It will be alot more detailed that the digital design below with numerous entrances/exits, toilets, pubs, turnstiles, changing rooms and a media centre being built. The arena will not be finished for the kick-off of the XVII Legoland SuperLeague which has not please my minifigs one bit. More pictures of stadium being built Edited August 21, 2008 by Calvin Quote
General Kannon Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Wow, that thing is a behemoth. Maybe you should have separate strips for walking and then the rest for sitting. Quote
adik_sa_lego Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 woah that's huge. wonder how much Old Trafford would cost in that scale... Quote

Yes thats one of the details i will likely add, plus some stairways up to the terraces. Also completing the corners needs to be done I guess :-) Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 As a basic stadium I like it. I appreciate how much time and effort it takes to make something that big, however it is rather plain, perhaps some different colours might help? Quote
daoudbazaar Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Huge ! Should add some VIP seats and lounge, a special spot for journalists and TV studio, lights, a special entrance for players, az giant TV screen ... and if its the stadium of a given team, say Legoland Football Team, you may use color to draw its acronym on sittings banks. Yes it is plain I know however gray is my favourite colour for stadia. I will add some white lines for where people should walk later... Here's one I made with some colour Should add some VIP seats and lounge, a special spot for journalists and TV studio, lights, a special entrance for players, az giant TV screen ... and if its the stadium of a given team, say Legoland Football Team, you may use color to draw its acronym on sittings banks. I'm not into VIPs but lights and an entrance for players is a good idea! Yes the club is the Celebs, I might try their crest but its difficult.. Alternatively I could do yellow and white tricolour flag at one end Quote
General Kannon Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Maybe you could take away one of the ends so you could put the jumbo-tron and a club area Quote
maiq the liar Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 It looks nice, even though i'm not a big sports fan...And my mom's friend is persecuting me for eating sauerkraut... :-( Quote
Brickadier General Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 That's hugemongous!! I look forward to seeing this with the details you'll be adding to it. Will you be using lego seats in it? Quote
iamded Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 This is very, very neat! And big! I'd love to see this in the brick. Just one thing, where's the entrance? ~Peace Quote
